Refeering a game is great fun when you do it is a favour (as I did for BAT some years ago in the Sunday League) and all I needed to say to both teams pre match was start abusing me and game over ! Fair to say though I did it a few times with no problems and even a bit of good natured micky taking !

Well at least the first two are classic symptoms though you need to be extra careful with any kind of infection if you are diabetic.

My Doctor's surgery has a diabetic nurse, obviously I have no idea whether it's the same with you but would be a very useful point of advice/consultation. Type 2 can often be controlled by diet though if that does not work then tablets and in a few cases insulin injections. Hopefully not the latter for you so get some professional advice is my advice.

It is always a case that you don't retaliate, I think both players should have been sent off. Also Van Persie did receive a nasty looking injury so no excuses for either player. As for Adebayor and his goal "celebrations" that was very provocative and very unwise given the recent trouble at games and especially the West Ham v Millwall game. I'd be amazed if Adebayor did not pick up a 2/3 game ban though RVP might escape unfortunately as the ref booked him so clearly saw the challenge.

I think you'll find there were 4 youngsters in the team, Vince, Riazuddin, Briggs and Dawson.

If that means playing Tahir as opposed to giving him a rest (I assume/hope he is not injured) then I disagree as he is crucial to our season and I'd rather stay in CC1 as opposed to winning the Pro 40 which was highly unlikely even before today and losing our Division 1 place in the CC would be a serious dent to our ambitions.For sure we would have no chance of signing any good new players. Anyway a lot of teams are giving younger players an oportunity in the Pro40, makes sense to me though it would be fair to say if we were lack lustre then there seems no reason for that and that IS unfair on those who pay good money to watch. That said the season is far too long these days and that's not taking into account off season cricket and especially the IPL. I don't think it is coincidence Dimi has not been playing that well recently though I'm not blaming him for taking the money on offer especially the way England treat him.
