The travelling might be a reason for leaving him on the bench but since he didn't even play I'm surprised he's not even in the squad. That said he would not have been in my starting eleven.

It's actually very strange that Sussex are quite probably the best team in one day cricket but are so poor in the 4 day game.
-
Sussex lose! So we are 12 points ahead of Yorks and 16 ahead of Sussex so a win for Yorks when they play would do nicely.
-
You suggest correctly for sure, as I posted earlier Durham have 7 wins and then 3/4 teams including Hants with 3 wins.
-
That would help but Sussex losing would be more useful as they play Yorks next so at least one of them will hopefully gain little or nothing on us when v play Durham and if there is a definite result we are all but safe......I think ! Sussex now 8 down !
-
Sussex really in dire straits. 148/7. Still 26 behind
-
Doncaster 4.05 Mahadee ew at 25/1 with Ladbrokes

Which is why there have been so many draws with only Durham winning a significant number, 7. Notts, Somerset, Hants and Lancs 3, Warwickshire and Sussex 2, Yorks only 1 and poor old Worcs none at all. Could well be argued that the current set up does not really encourage teams to risk losing in order to try to win as used to happen often.

2 weeks of torrential rain throughout the country would do nicely !
-
No worries, we will thrash Durham anyway

He does apply himself, if you know his Dad you'll know he does not lack application. Trouble is so many injuries have just destroyed his confidence so much he was a better player when he first played 1st class cricket 1n 2000. He used to score some useful runs and take wickets and actually played his 1st ODI in 2005 v Bangladesh and took 4 wickets I think it was. He was also a regular in the Ashes squad that year. I cannot remember all his injuries but he missed the tour to Pakistan in 2005/06 due to surgery on his knee and hip though it's really the last 2 years or so he has been plagued by injuries and I don't think it is coincidence his performances have really dropped off in that time. If you have ever spoken to him you'll know he's an extremely nice, modest guy, maybe he could do with a little more of the devil in him but that's just not the way he is.

I now have a very good one year old HP Pavillion which I wiped completely and reinstalled everything. It is working Ok at present so I can look around before buying.
-
It appeared on the order though I didn't actually order it, I returned that already ( as new) and got a refund.
-
A pile of junk, I don't think so !
-
Archers Road was never in the race. Finished 7th I think.
-
Somerset are piling on the runs, 464/5, so Lancs are not going to win either.
-
Easy peasy. So we are now on 148 points, Yorks 136 and Sussex 132( including the 4 bonus points so far) . Lancs are playing their penultimate game and including bonus points are on 150. Yorks v Sussex is going to be very crucial, Sussex might yet lose v Warwickshire, still 148 behind with all 2nd innings wickets in hand. Unlikely they would win and the pitch is taking spin from what I heard.
-
Well Hants are interested in not just Kabir Ali but Simon Jones as well. Would not be surprised to see him leave, he needs something to try to get back to being a decent player again.
-
Good luck then........
-
Please tell me you got at least 20/1 ! Not that it will probably matter TBH! Edit: Oh good it's on CH4 !
-
Lancs might well lose too and they have only 1 game left. Assuming we win and Sussex lose I think we'll have 14 more points than them and 10 more than Yorks who we play at Headingley in the last game. However, before that we are at home to Durham but Sussex actually play Yorks and then Notts in their last game.
-
They have 4 bonus points I think, we have 7.
-
223/8 at lunch which is definitely one behind! They might get another 20 or 30 but with the 2 batsman in both averaging 14 and a debutant at 11 hard to think they'll get many more.
-
Somerset 355/5 v Lancs, Warwickshire 400/7 v Sussex.
