Yes and Tony Adams is looking ever more likely to be that person. Cannot believe it but someone, somewhere is piling cash on him to be the new manager
-
No, I'm going to have nightmares about Tony Adams. Please, please, please don't let him be our new manager.

Sweepstake on which No Tony Adams Thread gets locked first

It's looking more and more like we are in for a desperate disappointment with Adams only 5/4 with Skybet. Please God, don't do this to us, we've suffered enough. Personally I don't think we can have too many "No Tony Adams" threads, this could be a disaster. -
Just to make sure all bases are covered, the third no Adams thread
chrisobee replied to Smirking_Saint's topic in The Saints
He's now 5/4 with Skybet, this is a nightmare. -
It's worse: Strachan 4/5 Adams 5/4 Is this the end of the euphoria already, surely no one in their right minds would appoint Adams. Even my Mum who knows practically nothing about football thinks he is a gormless loser !!
-
Oddly enough I was in the process of writing pretty much that but lost connection as I was about to post, great minds think alike !!
-
Surely they would not appoint someone like him, he has proved only one thing and that is he is clueless as a football manager. Is the dream going to become a nightmare
-
Well they do if they have more money than sense!
-
Yes, well I saw a 1/5 shot turned over quite recently !!
-
Well Skybet do say: "We took a steady stream of decent bets from the Southampton area at odds against and then we had several requests for four-figure bets at 8/13."
-
I think Stevo followed my advice and registered with Easy Odds for horse alerts. Well worth doing.
-
Tough race to call even with 7 runners. 13/2 seems to be best price and is available with several firms.
-
Channel 4 races, typically very hard to make selections in such competitive races but: 1.30 Crackdown Ran prominently last time out only to get collared late on. Hopefully the same tactics will be used today. 2.00 Emperor Claudius may well win but makes no appeal at around 13/8. I prefer Lord Zenith which has some ew appeal at 8/1 2.35 The sort of race I avoid like the plague with 19 runners over 7f. If I was forced to make a selection I'd go with my old favourite Plum Pudding or Al Maheer. 3.10 Scenic Blast- Not a great price. JJ The Jet Plane at around 10/1 might be worth a small interest

Well any bookie prepared to give odds is not going to take any chances as there is nothing in the way of "form" etc to go. Just those currently quoted on Skybet give an over round figure of about 120% and then it could even be someone not quoted. So unless say in this case Strachan is appointed they are likely to be laughing all the way to the bank again. The odds above prove the point very well given that Pearson is not even quoted!

Strachan still at 5/4 with Skybet to be new manager. Pretty much as it was yesterday with a few new names mentioned elsewhere I think: Strachan, G 5/4 Wise, D 5/1 Keegan, K 8/1 Boothroyd, A 10/1 Adams T 12/1 Le Tissier, M 12/1 Adams, M 16/1 Shearer, A 16/1 Wright, M 20/1 Dowie, I 25/1 Bond, K 25/1 Souness, G 33/1 Hoddle, G 40/1 Redknapp, H 66/1
-
Phew, I always knew living in Watford must have some advantages !
-
Strachan would be my 1st choice but Hoddle did an excellent job here and got the team organised and despite the impression given most players who were here with him were impressed by him. That said I'm not sure he is the man for a League 1 team so if it's not WGS then I'm not sure who I would want. Definitely not Boothroyd, Shearer, Dowie, Reid or Gross. Keegan is highly unlikely to take the job but I'd be happy to be wrong. That leaves Tisdale and Coppell from the list in the poll, I would not be too unhappy with either. As I think I read above I would not be surprised if it is someone not on the list. Curbishley would be a good option IMO but I'd back pretty much anyone except the obvious non starters like Redknapp and Wise ( even though he is 2nd favourite with the bookies!)

As it's late, very late and there seems to be nobody around I'll just say I heard you went to a good school, it was approved then get my coat and scarper -
Just seen an ad on TV. A free CD of the Specials live at Brixton plus an interview in the Times on Sunday. Worth buying for that alone.
-
Well I'd say you have got full value for your fiver already
-
Well I have no idea who they are but admire their optimism in having us on 0 points in their league 1 table !!
-
Why? Does he owe it to anyone to say how much he contributed? Of course he doesn't and you can interpret his unwillingness to say so to suit your own predetermined views if you so choose. Clearly that's exactly what you've decided to do but I will thank you for sparing us a diatribe on Lawrie Mac.

Pathetic.

Yep, well said and well done for starting this thread. He certainly deserves our thanks and good luck to him in the future. If good guys do get their reward he should find another job soon, I hope so.
