  1. Just living up to your name are you
  2. Yes, at this point if you have the money to pay it off in one go then that's really the best option. As you say an appeal will add to the costs and just prolong the stress. Sometimes things just don't seem fair but that's life, no one ever said it was supposed to be fair! However, you might want to think of ways to ensure this neighbour from hell does not pull the same stunt again. Certainly your disabled friend should be able to do something, surprised they did not pursue charges or would that have meant you were charged as well?
  3. No, the end is nigh.
  4. I doubt that you'll find the costs increase but the CAB should be able to help, maybe you spoke to the wrong person ? Otherwise again I'm wracking my brain to say whether this is accurate but I think you are entitled to seek legal advice and get one free hour consultation. However, since I'm not a solicitor I cannot be 100% sure, I suggest you find out, it could be useful and depending on your circumstances you might be entitled to legal aid.

  6. I assume it was a criminal court or was it a civil court ? What exactly were you charged with, the £1233 seems to be a huge sum to be costs only. I may be wrong but I think in criminal cases you make payment to the court, in civil cases it may be the order is to pay the Housing Association directly. You really need to find out as much as you can and then seek advise from the CAB.
  7. Utter tosh TBH. Banks frequently give wrong advice to customers many of whom have been with them for many years. Then when the proverbial hits the fan who is there to "bail them out", the banks of course who are usually very selective in what they tell the customers who are relying on them to give them the full picture. A bit gullible maybe but not stupid to accept what banks decide to tell you. Sadly the Banking industry has changed markedly over the past 15-20 years and long gone are the days when you could actually speak to someone you knew. So take the moral highground if you chose, that is your prerogative but you'll have to accept that not everyone agrees with that perspective and clearly I'm one of them and that's based on many cases I've seen where the banks have simply chosen to ride roughshod over a Banking code which is so ineffectual as to be pretty worthless.
  8. Indeed but though I'm not generally one to let my heart rule my head I truly hope that there is a role for Mark Wotte at the club. Despite his only association with Saints being in a managerial role he's exemplified the true spirit I think we all believe in. I believe 99%+ of people in his position would have walked, the kind of loyalty he has displayed demonstrates to me a real belief in the cub. So whoever decides on the various appointments should bear that firmly in mind. I'm not sure if that will be a popular belief but it's mine, you cannot put a price on loyalty.
  9. Of course I can say what I like now but I was attracted by the name and nearly threw it into the mix! At least Red Cape ran a good race.
  10. It was actually one of Noodles more coherent posts
  11. What do you expect for 20p !
  12. By the way I have worked for both the National Debtline and the CAB part time. Some of the tricks banks try to pull are incredible, trouble is unless you know how to deal with them then it is difficult. http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/

  16. Well in League 1 terms that's not a bad side at all but we could do with someone in the mould of Terry Hurlock to get stuck in ! Midfield looks a bit lightweight for League One.
