thats democracy for you,people fight wars for the right to vote unfortuneley some people would rather not get off their backsides to vote and anyway so what if he was a conservative before,people change;) if i remember right churchill was a liberal before he joined the then conservative party and he did not do a bad job.

he would have won with the first past the post system we use in westminster elections loved by tory and labour loyalists for their safe seats with 24 % of the vote:lol: so its funny they used a version of pr where the second preference vote counted to make sure the candidate got over 50 % of the vote:) and low and behold we got a independent candidate.

i agree and its better to have elected people and more demoracy rather than the appointed members of police authoritys and voted by no one already appointed by political party's... i would love the love the american system and elect sheriffs to replace the top policemen in each region .

I agree dell days but I hate players being singled out by the same posters even if they played well..I.be yet to see the same level of hate against hoosevelt who's scored lots of own goals and Davies or our young goalie who's fault led to swanseas goal. most teams play 4.3.3 in the premier league and normally 1 striker up front away,it would make no difference if we played 4.4.2 ,we need 2 stong centre backs and a leftback at the moment we are very week in that area.

if scotland voted for independence and self rule,i doubt anything would change only that the uk will have a federal system of union. the queen will be still be head of state in scotland and being a eu member i cannot see there being controls unless the english government wants to waste money on bureaucracy and has for nuclear weapons ,i bet the scots will be glad they will not have to pay for something which they will never ever need. if a nuclear war happened we would probably all be dead anyway.
