What a bloody ridiculous way of doing it. They should employ the help of St Landrew(?) and start by picking the Saints All-time B-team like we did on here a few years ago. That was by far the most logical way of doing this accurately.

To be fair the BBC Sport website had a few glitches when it was first unveiled, but it is by far the best place on the internet for sports news now. The Olympic coverage in particular was incredible. To compare it to Saints OS is ridiculous.

I wasn't there, but it looked less than 29,000 there on the TV...didn't look great. I wonder if the new ticketing system has anything to do with it? I looked at the ticket website the other day and when you come to choosing your seat, the default view shows seats towards the back of the stand. Being the idiot I am, it took me a few minutes to figure out how to drag if and see the front rows (i.e. when you clicked on some blocks it looked sold out at first, when in actual fact it quite clearly wasn't). Seemed odd to see so many empty seats at the front of the Chapel - normally it's the back Chapel corners that are last to sell.

I can't speak for the upper tier, but the lower tier was bloody brilliant, with pretty much everyone singing. Shame about the empty seats, but I think we more than made up for it with noise. The fact that having just watched the highlights on TV, you can hear less than 2,000 Saints fans outsinging 45,000 City fans who have just been crowned Champions says something. First time in a long time I've woken up with sore hands and a saw throat after football. The goal celebrations were great. And the penalty save was a good warm up too...
