  1. I give you some crackers from the BBC: Tasmin Lucia Khan (used to do the 30 second news updats on BBC3...she counts as a presenter) Judith Ralston (from BBC Scotland....weather presenters count. I quite fancy all (yes, all) weather forecasters, but her in particular). Hayley Cutts (Newsround) Sod it, I want another weather girl...Emily Wood (BBC Spotlight) Polly Evans (BBC East) And we'll finish with an old favourite...
  2. Appy is chinese. I'm willing to bet that his english is a darn site better than your chinese.

    Shaw

We can only dream that he will ever be half the player Graham Le Saux was.
  5. It's as if Saints did it just to make you sound like a ****.
  6. At the risk of sounding like I'm mimicking the Jonathan Forte thread, Guly was a key player during our rise up the leagues, and I genuinely believe that his goal against Bristol Rovers towards the end of our league 1 season is one of the most important goals in Saints recent history. We all know how mych Nige loves positivity, and I'm with him on that. If Guly gets booed every appearance he makes, his confidence will take a hit. I wouldn't blame him if his shoulders dropped and that kind of attitude is easily rubbed off onto other players. He may, or may not, be Premier League standard, but he's part of the team and deserves a bit of support. Was glad to hear the pro-Guly chants drown out the anti ones, buts it's ridiculous that that was even needed.... Just remember he's part of the unit that got us from the bottom of League 1 to 15th in the Premiership.
  7. What's the verdict? Knee injuries can be bad, but at least he could walk off so maybe more precautionary... I suppose if he had to get injured, today is an OK match to do it with a 2 weeks break coming up.
  8. We can't lose either of the next 2 games. If anything I'd prefer 2 points (from 2 draws) to 3 points (from 1 win and 1 loss). That's how important not losing is.
  9. I was there for Tommy Forecast's debut in a Saints XI side away at Weymouth in pre-season. Seem to remember we went 2-0 down after the first 10 mins but went in to win 3-2. Was also one of Poortvleit's first games too. If I remember correctly, there were 8 other Saints fans in the away end, but also a few others clearly dotted in with the home.

  11. Got to admit, I didn't actually see it from the other end of the ground, so well done to the ref for spotting it. What I want to know is, how come that is only worth a yellow card? I think I'm right in thinking if you delieberately hand ball to stop a goal being scored (i.e. on your own goal line), that gets you a straight red. The advantage you're trying to gain by cheating is effectively the same in both cases. I know rules are rules and all that and the ref has gone by the rule book, but seems a bit inconsistant. If he had actually scored with his hand, would the punishment have been any different?
  12. Liverpool have the quietest set of fans I have ever heard. I was always under the impresssion Anfield was one of those grounds where the atmosphere was always brilliant (like Fratton Park I suppose). I think the only time I heard them was for about 20 seconds after they scored, until they were drowned out by OWTS. Our support was good, but I was slightly baffled by some people insisting on singing COYR - I wonder if those people ere genuiely confused by which colour we were and thought we won the game? As for the performance, we were very poor.
  13. I'd like to take it all back. The women of Liverpool are wonderful, wonderful people.
  14. On my way to the game. Hoping for a good atmosphere and feeling quietly confident. If its true that Ramierez came close to signing for Liverpool this summer, he'll surely be out to prove a point. And Adkins and Lambert will also be desperate to do well. 3-1 Saints
  15. I'm thinking of getting a new (well not actually new) car. Something a similar size to a Golf, but not necessarily a Golf. Any suggestions?
  16. I'm sure you'd hold the exact same opinion if we paid them the most...
  17. I'm sure you'd hold the exact same opinion if we paid them the most...
  18. Yet you were concerned about the effect Gaston's pay package might be having on team morale...
  19. That wasn't very good, was it?
  20. Why was Clyne where Clyne was when Clyne gave away the free-kick? (Clyne).
  21. Typical JLC returning when we're in the Premier League. I'll be sure to wave my season ticket at him.
  22. More to the point, who would you prefer in the side? Danny Fox or Guly?
  23. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/sports-personality/20466947 Andy Murray Ben Ainslie Bradley Wiggins Chris Hoy David Weir Ellie Simmonds Jessica Ennis Katherine Grainger Mo Farah Nicola Adams Rory McIlroy Sarah Storey Good list. All I will say is Rory McIlroy won't win it. Impossible to pick a winner though. If I had to I'd say: 1 - Wiggins 2 - Murray 3 - Farah/Ainsle
  24. It's not exactly a great resemblance...
  25. Liverpool? Really? Is 'celebrated' the word you meant to say?
