  1. Pic could be anyone, tbf.
  2. Thanks.
  3. Nah, I'm sure he only co-wrote it.
  4. He was clearly a panic buy. I agree he was woeful but I would have to say that Corluka's performance was worse. It was borderline embarrassing. Pavlyuchenko didn't have the best service from a shambolic midfield which seemed to look a lot stronger once Modric was replaced by Jenas. I was very impressed by Villa yesterday and I am glad they gave Spurs a spanking. Bent was awful, Bale average, Gomes was lol. The only Spurs player that looked any good was Lennon and even his delivery was poor. Ramos's inability to learn the English language, even the basics, will cost them dearly. Poyet is hardly the most inspiring of players/coaches/managers and it seems that the authority Ramos may have had in Seville just isn't rubbing off on this bunch. Will Levy have the balls to sack him? It's funny that Martin Jol's Hamburg are top of the German league.

  6. I try and go running every evening, approx 6 miles or so, but this has become incredibly slack since the end of June where I was that f*cked by my holiday and Glastonbury that it's taken me a fair while to recover. I'm contemplating running twice a day now, once in the morning before work and once in the evening afterwards. It'll require me to get up at 6am but I'm sure once I'm into the routine it'll be ok. I need to stay away from alcohol for a bit too.
  7. Is that the name for a new ladies' "accessory"?
  8. heath ledger is the joker.
  9. Must take forever to get served.
  10. "Oh baby do you remember when, think about me now and then, oooh, cos I'm comin' home again!" Friday -- Finish work, travel back to Southampton :) Saturday -- Haircut, catch up with family, family party, get smashed in town. Sunday -- Sulk and then skulk back to Somerset :(:(:(

  12. "If I can't have you, I don't want nobody baby, if I can't have you, whoa-oh." Good choice of first dance song, saintkiptanui.
  13. Grizzly Bear -- While You Wait For The Others. Awesome stuff.
  14. I thought Burial was going to claim this. How wrong I was. Out of all the efforts, I like Do You Like Rock Music? the best. It's probably still my favourite of the year so far. You say Radiohead don't need any more accolades but I find it astounding that they've never won this prize. They probably don't care, though. As for Elbow, I'm not that fussed about their music but, having met him, Guy Garvey is a genuinely nice guy so I am pleased for him.
  15. Oxford Collapse -- The Birthday Wars.
  16. My top 5: 1. Taxi Driver 2. Dog Day Afternoon 3. 25th Hour 4. Amores Perros 5. Les Quatre Cent Coups (The 400 Blows)
  17. Do you take the IMDb list as mustard? The Dark Knight is third, FFS.

Oh yes, living in Somerset at the moment means I can try this stuff quite often. Memories of the first day at Glastonbury are very hazy after rinsing a few of these bad boys.

Ghostface Killah -- Supreme Clientele (Baby shake your sh*t, you're thick like huh!) 6. Public Enemey -- It Takes A Nation... (Don't, don't, don't believe the hype) 7. 20. When I lived in Southampton, the nearest pub to me was a toss between The Englishman and The Regents Park. I used to often frequent the Englishman with my dad. I would say my local was the Brigh****er Inn in Shirley. Having been going there since I was about 16, I don't think the charm of the place can be beaten. Had some quality sessions down there. God, I miss Southampton. I used to live directionally opposite the Winston in the student house on the corner of Howard Road/Hill Lane. Some fantastic times in that house and some good times in the Winston too. You're right about the price, it is ridiculous, but the atmosphere is top notch. The jukebox is pretty quality too. Oh, the memories. This will definitely be a port of call when I come down for two weeks in October. I cannot wait.
