Saint George - I don't know why you feel the need to be so down on the country of your birth - it is not a requirement as part of becoming an American. Assuming, for now, that you actually are. I have been an American citizen for about 10 years - I love this country but I love the UK too. This country has problems just as the UK does. One problem is people feeling the need to yell and scream at people who have a different opinion - like yourself. Another problem is the level of gun violence - no one in their right mind can claim it is not an issue. There are many different views on how to tackle this - but something has to be done. What do you think the answer is to all the mass shootings?

What about the hand wringing here in the US? What do you suggest we do to stop all these mass shootings? And, while we are at it, we would love to know where you were born, etc. Are you American born? Are you British born but American citizen? Or have you never left Sholing in your life? The Oregon shooter was born in the US, he was not a British export. His father is from Britain but he was born in the US.

So few of us understand football, clearly. Yeovil - I grew up near there, Bristol Rovers - first game I ever saw, Brighton because I lived there for several years. But Saints will always be number one.

Which American? Not confirmed yet that St George is an American. Most likely has taken American citizenship like Ohio and myself but CB has him down as living in Southampton area. I thought this thread had died out but I missed the latest of St George's rants. I love this country, I have lived here over 20 years but it has many faults. Obsession with guns being one of them. England has many faults but I love it too. The vast majority of people here are nothing like St. George. If they were, I would leave in a heartbeat.

Yep. Everything stops because Les is away. They probably have cellphones and internet in Denmark so, I am sure he can negotiate, even arrange a physical for someone if he needed to.
