  1. Agreed... its unclear as to why we are progressing down this route as its clearly not financial, unless KL wants out. To say a club cannot stop players leaving is total nonsense. To say we are replacing players with high quality players is pure guesswork as neither have played in the PL. I also believe Koeman did not sign up to this scenario.
  2. Totally agree, unless we have 5 quality replacements lined up.. but its more in hope than expectation
  3. Chambers is our best young player by a country mile... if he's sold, then the Board have seriously lost the plot
  4. Tricky given there are no rumours of any substance.
  5. Boruc Chambers Fonte Yoshida Clyne Davis Wanyama Cork Gaston Pelle Tadic
  6. I see that is what you meant by the yo-yo strategy.. it looks more possible by the day
  7. What an arrogant statement to make... you have no idea what went on between Cortese and the owner.. its pure speculation. What is a FACT is that we have lost our 3 best players which could increase to 5.. unprecedented in the Premier League. Read this and think before making stupid comments.
  8. Exactly... some half wits on here think we are the only team with quality players that the top four want. Everton have far better players, hence why they ended up with 16pts more than us. What we are, are the only team with a Board not strong enough to deal with it.
  9. Jay Rod and maybe Chambers.. but the rest are not good enough.
  10. Everton manage to keep their best players... Coleman is the best RB in the PL and he signed a new contract rather than go to Arsenal. Admittedly, they are further down the progression line, but they are not a power club by any means. Anyway, the only way I can see Schneiderlin staying is if there are no bids for him...
  11. So, you have been watching Tadic and Pelle in the Dutch League have you ?.. if not then its pure speculation, and I would waver on the other side having seen Lambert and lallana play in the Premier League.
  12. No-one can go up and down the left wing as a wing back and expect to recover.. its impossible, that's why you have midfield cover. The only lapses defensively are when he switches off when the back line is playing offside and he lets the winger get inside him... that happened a couple of times but he will learn quickly.
  13. I assume that's a joke... he's never a top four club player. I would not be surprised if Koeman does not rate him within a 433 or 352 formation.. given we have 2 other non scoring defensive midfield players.
  14. Absolutely, and IMO we can thank MP for us losing our best players... he improved many of them in a short period. Whether those that have left can continue to progress remains to be seen.
  15. The reality is probably somewhere in-between... the players were happy working under a Cortese/MP regime where the objective was clearly CL football. WE don't know why Cortese left but assuming it was related to funding required to achieve that dream; then the players will perceive a lack of ambition (hence Lovren/Schneiderlin comments) when he left. The money is a given when CL teams come in so its a win/win for the players. Unfortunately, this was inevitable once Kruger stressed the self-sustaining model going forwards.. for sure, Liverpool did not follow that between 2009-13.
  16. £86m Everton...
  17. I don't think you need to worry about that... your mind can't cope with ambition obviously.
  18. Lovren is no different to the other four who have/will leave.. the goal posts have been moved by KL and they no longer believe we are an ambitious club.
  19. That's one opinion, much easier in hindsight... but I prefer Dellman's assessment. You are guessing it was a pipe dream and guessing we are financially constrained.
  20. Not unlike Shaw who has come through the academy and left without giving F all back... he just didn't say what he thought. I have far more appreciation of Lallana than the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Shaw.
  21. Are there any actual FACTS that have resulted in such a wide spread venomous attitude towards Lallana, as opposed to media driven rubbish. I think he served his time with us and appreciate all he gave to the club.. wish him well and hope he gets more starts for England going forwards.
  22. Nothing meant by it at all, but if we lose Lovren/Schneiderlin in the next couple of weeks, any new manager is going to struggle. Remember we had a thin squad last season so adding 6/7 new players and integrating them into the Koeman way will be a major challenge. I can understand neutral fans thinking we will struggle.
  23. I think you're blind optimism is misplaced.. we potentially need to replace our best 5 players and hope that a Dutch manager can rebuild with quality and introduce his own ideas. I think we will struggle to score goals and that is a recipe for a relegation battle. Hope I'm wrong but am expecting a struggle this season.
  24. That's exactly how I see it.. but lets wait and see what July brings.. I'm sure there are more surprises to follow.
