Statistically one might agree. But I think we need to move forward not backwards. Defoe (33) is not the future and we have plenty of goals with Kane, Vardy and Sturridge in the team. Defoe is simply not required in my opinion- better off having Rashford along to train with the team etc. and most likely not make the final cut.

It'll be the usual summer of watching everyone else snap up the bargains / best players from relegated teams and cheaper players abroad. We'll sell a few of our best such as Mane, Wanyama, Pelle etc. Then sign a few unknowns and Celtic's latest star player. And still, denying all logic, end up improving on the last 2 years performances and final position. At least that is what happened the last 2 summers
