Frustrating first half so far. Should have made on of our chances count! But all other premiership games are 0-0 too oddly.

Sounds like we are overcooking it a bit at the moment.

Hopefully we'll make this pressure count.

The usual crazy selections from Roy. Picking some players who have played before or for top clubs ahead of those who are actually playing well and might mix things up a bit. At least he picked Berahino and Downing who have both excelled so far this season. But how can he justify Lambert and Walcott?

He couldn't play in Madrid, his head was still in Liverpool.

Ugly sort of game.

Wasn't fully expecting it.

He saw Wanyama and got scared. I would be!

Decent first half. We've kept them at arms length and got lucky with the goal.

But Clyne is doing well so far.

We are holding it together well. If we can make it to half time and then perhaps spruce things up a bit with some subs. I agree Tadic is tired, Pelle too. But the rest are doing ok. For all Hull's huffing and puffing they've not had many proper chances yet. Long will grow into the game.

Diame is a beast. He's causing us problems.

He still had to send it back with enough fizz and curl. Great goal from Wanyama.

Because we've had a big change in the team I think we are benefiting from the "unknown" element. You can't look at the videos from last season and look for weaknesses and so on, as we are dramatically different. As the season moves on people will work out how to beat us. That will be the real test of manager and players.

Really hard effort to win in the end. But we had the determination to make it. Great win - but a bit worried about a tired squad ahead of the weekend.
