Staring defeat in the face right now. Nothing coming forwards and hanging on at the back. Now the "excitement" has worn off we need to start working harder off the ball.
I am happy with the first half. Second half we need to go for it a bit more. Last week we counter attacked brilliantly but this week Wigan have barely mounted an attack worth countering! Not bad though.
Given that Welbeck might miss out and Rooney is suspended it might have made more sense to bring another striker. But the FA/England squad don't operate in the realm of common sense
The fact that the BBC had to have a "Who is Jack Butland?" feature on their website says it all. It is right up there with the bizzare decision to take Walcott all those years ago. A kick in the teeth for any other up and coming English goalkeeper. Might as well take Kelvin Davis- at least he's played at Championship level!
Awful. Downing, Milner, Terry out.
Can't believe there is no place for Crouch, Richards (Micah).
Roy had a golden chance to make bold selections and has bottled it.
I've spoken to a few Brentford supporting friends and they are really pleased with Harlee Dean. I saw him play in only one game and he had a good physical presence about him but wasn't outstanding. I can't see him playing in the Premiership - so letting him go is sensible so he can get on with his career elsewhere I reckon.
