Looking at it Birmingham is a better bet than Manchester even if it is £5 dearer. The train back from Carlisle to Manchester arrives at the same time the last direct train leaves from Manchester to Southampton leaving seconds to get from platform to platform, going to Birmingham gives us 10 mins to change platforms. Cheers for the info!

Well that encourages me abit more, lets hope the deal is signed today.

Me & a few others are planning on making this trecherous journey by train. I've looked at a few examples of fares & it looks like the cheapest way of doing it is by buying a seperate return ticket to Manchester Piccadily & then another seperate return journey ticket from there to Carlisle. This works out at about £48 if using a railcard compared to the £80 return if you go via London Euston on the Virgin service to Glasgow. If anybody else can find ways of making it even cheaper to get there on the train post it here!

Only problem with this is that the FL then take all day to look at it, say no & then we're back to square 1 again.

FFS! Another day going to be needed booking off work for this one!

We're running out of time, wages have to be paid on Thursday & TL's message to Hypo didn't exactly fill me with confidence. We've had so many false dawns in the past i guess i'm just expecting the worse to happen, i pray that i'm wrong.

My feelings too, if we don't hear anything positive today then it may well be curtains.

Thanks for that, makes me a little more positive about it all although from Matty's words that they can't complete the takeover until the matter with the FL is resolved to their satisfaction would indicate that Pinnacle aren't going to budge over the 10 points.

They spoke to him directly? Atleast thats a bit better news anyway. We should just take the 10 points & be done with it, what the FL are doing though is illegal, this country is a democracy & we have a right to appeal which they are going to deny us by what is pretty much blackmail, w*nkers.

Meridian: Pinnacle say despite several requests to the FL they won't clarify the difference between SLH & SFC. They say exsclusivity period doesn't end til midnight.
