Games you wish you'd been sober at....
saints_is_the_south replied to StuRomseySaint's topic in The Saints
I'd never wish to be sober at football!! On a serious note, i guess i was lucky that i wasn't at the drinking age during the games in the good days in the prem so i was a sober supporter up til about 2/3 years ago, since then most games are a complete blur which has probably been for the best! -
Due to not being born: FA Cup final 76' Skates 0-1 Saints, Moran goal, not sure of the year was it 84? Since born: Any win against the skates that i wasn't present at, so 3. 3-0 nil in the cup at the dell & the two wins at SMS in the relegation season. Last game at the dell 3-2 v Arsenal Saints 1-0 Man Utd, last minute Beattie goal at SMS start of 03/04 season?

A day before mine! Seems like the time for birthdays! -
+1. I just want the deal to be f*cking done so we can all stop worrying about it. Despite the excitement of the fixture release & planning away days next season its always remained at the back of my mind it may all go tits up. Please give us some good news by Friday Pinnacle.

Had a look yesterday, £41 return each for 3 using rail cards. What we spend on the rail fare we'll make up in saving on buying sh!t loads of cans for the journey at supermarket prices instead of pints in a pub. Cant wait -

Deffo! Day before me birthday too so will have the weds off, can't wait! Carlisle on the train is also a must, couple of crates for the journey, job done! -
Would be awesome if the new owners could afford to keep Rasiak, he'd score a shed load in League 1. DMG would also get 20+ imo.
-
No, we beat them 3 nil in league & fa cup in the season we come down, both at their place.

Read that this morning, qutie an interesting article.

Huddersfield away. -
Aswell as the 1st game of the season i'll also miss this due to being on hols, so Burton or Hereford away please, get through to the 2nd round & then lets have a home game or decent away game!
-
Haven't seen this anywhere else so i'll get it up & running. 2 choices - home & away game. Fixtures released at 10am on Wednesday. Interesting article here on the work that goes into deciding the fixtures: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2009/06/secrets_of_the_fixture_compute.html#097608

Wotte in the running for a job in Egypt
saints_is_the_south replied to Saint Martini's topic in The Saints
Picked up the pink in tesco earlier & he was qouted as saying he was becoming a bit fed up with the take over saga & that him, the coaching staff & players needed to know now where they stood ahead of pre-season so this news doesn't come as a surprise after reading that. Have to say, i quite like him for the passion & genuine care he has for Saints & would appear he's been working hard this summer already, still i think a change of direction is needed & a clean sweep of the Lowe era so he should go. -
If it were me then i certainly wouldn't be making adult prices any more than £300 so £275 seems quite a good deal. How long will ST holders get to renew given that there is just under 2 months til the season starts? Would 2 or 3 weeks be enough for everyone to renew, then start selling on general sale but at early bird prices. I'd go with something like this as far as pricing strategy goes... ST renewals: Adults - £275.00 17 - 19's - £200.00 Teens (13-16's) - £150.00 Kids (Under 13's) - £50.00 General sale Adults - £300.00 17 - 19's - £225.00 Teens - £175.00 Kids - £75.00 Matchday prices: Goals/Wings Adults - £16.00 17-19's - £12.00 Teens - £10.00 Kids - £5.00 Sides: Adults - £20.00 17-19's - £16.00 Teens - £12.00 Kids - £8.00 Prices like that would see the attendances keep to a decent level imo.
