Used Bar Risa last season soley because it did Carlsberg at £1.90 a pint, its since changed to £2.80 so i think me & mates will probably use the standing order next season.

I don't think Andorra have had the ball in England's half yet lol.

Football Manager 2009 - Southampton Save Game Thread
saints_is_the_south replied to Matthew Le God's topic in Computer Games
Yeah, this is the bad thing about managing a side in Italy is that they don't have a reserve league out there. I think you can play 2 or 3 players over 21 in the under 18's team or whatever it is though. Decided to play with Exeter recently, got them promoted to the CCC & got bored so now being Roma in Serie A. I like the update thing, saves searching around & signing the players so that you can match it with the real life squad -
Depends what you want. I love Rome, been loads of times mainly football involved. To whoever above said it was a hellhole probably spent too much time in the suburbs & on the metro than they did in the actual city centre.

Anybody got contacts at the club to see if MB is correct?

I did a charity bike ride/pub crawl for them last summer, good times. -
so £9m = £4m for Barclays & £5m for the club value? Or am i right in saying that as SLH are in admin the shares are worth nothing so the £5m could indeed be to pay off a part of the stadium mortgage & pay off other creditors? I'd imagine aslong as we can matain the usual mortgage repayments on the stadium then Aviva wouldn't want any more money?

Hope Leeds beat Millwall & they stay down, Millwall is closer than Leeds & its also another London away day. Assuming all is well & we get taken over then i can't wait for next season, some pretty good aways days, most of them within 2 hours & a half drive/train away & hopefully we'll be watching a winning team for a change.

Reading's support always has been pathetic, 19k for a play off semi final!! As for us next season, all depends on how we start, who we've signed in the summer & if we're winning games. Whatever division we are in people want to see a winning team, if we manage to overturn the -10 points within the first 4 games then we'll be looking at between 15k & 18k. I don't think we'll ever go much lower than 13-15k as this is the hard core of support that will keep going whatever. Also i don't think we'll actually lose that many ST holders & it will remain around the 9k mark.

1300 sold thus far, no other stands looking likely to be opened. Source: David Luker

Fair play to Wotte, looks like he is working hard towards next season already.

Gillingham coming up would be good, that would mean 4 southern teams coming up.

I'll quite happily take your place going abroad (dependent on location & purpose!) if you'd rather stayed glued to teh forum!

Whilst I'd agree on the whole (the brekky in the standing order in town is awful!) the one we went to in Leicester Sq. was great, as good a fry up as i've had anywhere.

Another thing which Stu has probably already thought of, but how about posting this thread on forums of each & every team? That will help gauge info.
-
Cheers for that, didn't know that myself, others probably know a lot more on where to get good deals. I would also reccomend buying a rail card if you travel to away games regularly. I was looking at fares for a group of 3 travelling the other day, all 3 with rail cards & returns to Brighton, Yeovil, Bristol...etc were all coming up as less than 10 quid each.

Perhaps remove the thread on MLT confirmation on snn...etc & just have this as a sticky? I've been trying to follow that & the marc jackson thread all morning & its driving me crazy! I think i speak for all of us when i say i just wish they'd get the f*ck on with it, get the bids in, accept 1 & then we can all start talking football again.
-
Info such as rail fares would be useful too, there are some very good deals to be had when travelling in groups of 3/4 & more. I'd be happy to look up this info for you.
-
Curry & kebab houses would be good as would places to find a good fry up in the morning. I can personally reccomend a farmhouse breakfast at the wetherspoons in Leicester Sq, London, the best breakfast i've had in a spoons' by miles, lovely it was & nicely washed down by a few pints of larger!
-
Yeah, there's a very similar picture on the echo.

Got a few pics from Charlton & Watford this season if you want em. I can try doing a review too although i have to say many of my away trips are a blurr!! Great idea btw, look forward to using the site.

MLT on SSN confirmation of Consortium involvment
saints_is_the_south replied to Griffo's topic in The Saints
Anybody ITK know anything about the bid from abroad? There was rumour that Souness was involved in 1 consortium with backers coming from Dubai, could that be it? I don't have a clue myself & am just guessing!
