  1. Indeed, I'd imagine there will be a lot of games next season that will be dependent on how many away games people have been to, some of the allocations we'll receive will be quite small... Brighton - 900 Bristol Rovers - 1,100 Leyton Orient - 1,000 Northampton - 800
  2. Me & 2 mates are also looking into getting rail cards in time for next season. I checked out some rail fares including 3 rail cards & journeys, a return to Brighton come out at £5 each whilst Bristol was about £7/8. For those who use the trains this is certainly the way forward!
  3. The way Surman's been playing of late i would say £700k aint too bad, Coppell must be blind.
  4. Good point, make teens 17 - 19's & juniors under 16's.
  5. If i were in charge of setting out season ticket prices & match day prices i'd go along with something like this... Adults - £300 for renewals, £320 for earl bird, £350 on general sale Teens/Over 60's - £200 for renewals, £220 for early bird, £250 on general sale Under 13's - £50 for renewals, £80 for early bird, £100 on general sale Match day prices Adults - £18 Teens/Over 60's - £12 Juniors - £5 Reasonable prices that i think people will be prepared to pay for League 1 football & will generall keep the attendances around the 15k mark. Also think the club need to be running a lot more promotions such as kids for a quid or bring a friend for a tenner to help increase attendances. Without such prices & iniatives i think we'll be seeing 10-12k max next season.
  6. Poll mods?
  7. +1. Couldn't have said it better myself. I'll renew my season ticket each season for as long as i or Saints live, but i will not be under any circumstances be renewing if Lowe is at the helm, I've simply had enough of him & will not continue to spend my hard earned money paying his wages.
  8. Yup, i'll be renewing as will 2 others i know, possibly 1 more on that too. On one condition however, that Lowe does not return. Could we have a poll maybe mods? Make the question something like will you be renewing your ST next season based on the assumption that lowe will not return? There's a poll on the echo too asking people if they'll still go & watch Saints in league 1 & 70% have voted yes.
  9. All of them are only about a 2 hour drive. Not localish but not far either & we'd take a lot to all 3 imo.
  10. Hopefully if the promotions & relegations work out the right way then we could have as many as 13 localish games. If Wycombe, Exeter & Gillingham all come up from League 2 with Brentford that would be good whilst lets hope Carlisle & Crewe go down at the expense of Brighton. Lastly, hopefully Leeds or S****horpe go up in the play offs keeping MK Dons & Millwall down. Then we'd have all of the following away games which are pretty close Charlton, MK Dons, Millwall, Southend, Bristol Rovers, Leyton Orient, Swindon, Yeovil, Brighton, Brentford, Wycombe, Exeter & Gillingham. You could also had to that Norwich, Colchester, Northampton & Walsall which aint all that far to go either.
  11. +1, said the same to a mate last night.
  12. +1. He'd be one of my first choices, if not the first. His record albeit with lower league teams speak for itself, ex Saints player too. As i posted on the manager rumour thread, even if he gets Exeter promoted I'd be willing to bet that he'd take the Saints job if offered it. As was posted the other day, with all due respect to Exeter, a Southampton with new owners/money in league 1 are a better & bigger prospect than Exeter in the same league. I think the majority of fans would back his appointment.
  13. Ex Saints player, who knows? Even if he gets Exeter promoted I'd be willing to bet that he'd take the Saints job if offered it. As was posted the other day, with all due respect to Exeter, a Southampton with new owners/money in league 1 are a better & bigger prospect than Exeter in the same league.
  14. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Cotterill Did well at Cheltenham & not too badly at Burnley.
  15. I'd take Cotterill but he wouldn't be my first choice i must admit.
  16. Cheers, been looking for the start of season date for a while. Hopefully we're away to Hartlepool or someone up north otherwise i'll end up missing the first home game or a good away day due to being on hols plus the 1st round of the carling cup.
  17. Spoken to David Luker this morning, the donation scheme raised just under £2k so 66 donations at £30 for adult/child pair = 132 extra people in the ground. Not a massive figure not bad considering it only got running on Friday afternoon but £2k will atleast pay some of the stewards wages on Saturday so well done to all.
  18. B*stard, you had me for a second then!
  19. Just said on Meridian news that according to their sources at the club there could be a new owner in place by the Forest game.
  20. Cheers. This guy reckons Lowe is involved, any mention of him on SSN?
  21. Some guy on facebook reckons a takeover will be completed in 24 hours and that this is according to the news that SSN are reporting. Anybody watching that can confirm they've said anything remotely like this?
  22. See my post a couple above this. It doesn't appear as if Mark Fry has asked them yet, but like i said you'd have thought if any of them cared a little bit about SFC they'd defer their wages to give the club more time to find a buyer.
  23. I asked a few of the players after the game on Saturday if any of them were going to be deferring their wages to help the club out until a buyer was found. None really answered apart from Surman who said they hadn't been asked to by the administrator. You'd have thought as a Saints fan he might have offered rather than have to be asked to see the club through until a buyer is found.
