Indeed it does. Far too many people are passing judgement way before all the evidence has been heard ...as usual! After all, the Koemans et al have not even started work yet officially.

Oscar Wilde once said that "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but the highest form of intelligence," Both have obviously passed you by...

What is the point of this board?
-
Sorry, this is far too optimistic an assessment. It assumes that the board is competent, that the club will buy wisely and that the new manager is capable. It also assumes the board are not going to trouser all the transfer cash. I have read all the threads and it obviously ain't gonna happen. :-(

Been there, done that. Has it made any difference? Sadly, not a bit.

This. You have summed up my thoughts succinctly. A lot will depend on Big Ron's choices over the next few weeks, of course, but I am hoping that his tactical nous will improve us as a team. MoPo could be a little one-dimensional in his tactics at times and I think this will change. Whatever happens, I don't think the coming season will be dull!

Is this you and Nicola?

Blind could fit in nicely, too.

Dejan Lovren hands in transfer request

Do all the other team's scouts just watch home games? I am surprised he was so far off the radar last year. -
So, how many of the Dutch squad will we be able to afford as replacements? (I was thinking defenders or midfielders, but a couple of their strikers CDAJFU!)
-
Aha! Fair enough! I guess we just have to trust in the new manager's judgement. I live in hope that he can attract a good number of Holland's World Cup squad to St Mary's!

You are Mr Average doing a good job for your employer; someone offers you a promotion or more money doing the same job in a new location. You have responsibilities to a young family and no certainty of employment into your middle age, what should you do? MP and LA are not Mr Average but why should different rules apply to them? I know that when I have been offered a better deal elsewhere I have taken it because you never know when you will fall out of favour and have to accept something rather worse.

Jeez, I am just so glad that social media weren't around when I was 18 (as, I suspect, are many others!) As for Playboy models, isn't the whole point of their existence to provoke a reaction from a certain section of the population (which would include a rich, impressionable teenager such as Luke)?
-
Why? This was always a possibility and we already have targets in mind according to Les. Onwards and upwards, I say...
-
Just a thought - how many of the Dutch World Cup squad could we buy for £40m?

There have been similar discussions in the past. Kreuger has a good track record, he obviously impressed the club's owner and we only have his public utterances to judge him by, none of us really knows what he does for the club on a day to day basis. He might be doing a bit of good here and there. Here's a quote from Wes Tender from an old thread: "The ability to motivate a football player ought to theoretically apply to any group of workers, be they sales people or management in industry or commerce or a car assembly plant team." http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?460-Sir-Clive-Woodward&highlight=clive+woodward#.U6KmcLGmWtN

Wow! If these guys are right we are in for a real treat this coming season even if one or two more players depart.

I expect no Guano, Guan

I'll sing to that

"As well as an excellent man-manager, he is very wise tactically, having piloted the 5-3-2 system this season with Feyenoord, the formation the Netherlands used to dismantle Spain 5-1 in the World Cup this month. Furthermore, he takes young talented players and makes them better, more technical and intelligent. In fact, five of the 23-man Netherlands squad for the World Cup came from Koeman’s Feyenoord." At last, something in The Mirror that didn't make me ! The future looks bright, the future looks red and white and... orange!

Could be - the statement on the OS does too.
