  1. Really? This is all I could find. http://sport.hrt.hr/klub-ce-odluciti-o-mojem-eventualnom-transferu
  2. Your meanness of spirit is depressing. As a plus, however, SFC have received one of the largest fees ever for a 32 year old. I am sorry to see him go, of course, but it was good business and so would selling Shaw or Lallana for £30m each be. That sort of dosh would certainly give the club a chance to develop... Whoops, I for got KL, RK amd LR are all doing this to feather their own nests and secure the downfall of SFC!
  3. There has been so much speculation. We only know for sure that Poch has left. SRL seems to be gone but there is no official confirmation. We are holding out for £30m for Adam and Luke according to the media but they are still Saints players as of now. Why not wait and see what actually happens?
  4. Hypochondriac heal thyself!
  5. Our statement of intent summer signing striker!
  6. Good post. KL and her team appear to be intelligent, rational people making sensible business decisions. The trouble with football fans is their emotions rule and logic goes out the window. One thing I feel confident about is that we won't face administration again in the foreseeable future and for that we should all be grateful, whatever else transpires.
  7. "Not to pick on Adam Lallana... How sad that a higher wage and a couple of games in Europe can turn his head away from a project that he’s been such an integral part of for so long. It’s all just starting to feel so futile." And the people running the club, wanting to run the club in a financially sound way, are going to listen to offers that will return a tidy profit. It looks like this is the new "Southampton Way". Let's just hope the talent spotters keep coming up with the goods or else I fear we will become an eternal yo-yo club.
  8. Whoops! That was the cider speaking.
  9. An interesting read on the Guardian website featuring Ron Ruddick, a long time scout for Saints. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/17/man-who-discovered-gareth-bale-champions-league-real-madrid None of your poncy Opta Stats here, just good old-fashioned observation, intuition and instinct. It seems to have served him well.
  10. Don't forget Morgan's off to Arsenal and Wet Spam might come back for SRL.
  11. I am expecting Chelsea to put a bid in for the entire U18 squad before the end of the week!
  12. If only Ashley Cole hadn't had that stupid haircut none of this would have happened!
  13. Sadly, a non-scientific survey in our local supermarket would suggest otherwise. I have a soft spot for the Xerox kit, it is quite distinctive compared to our current kit and it has good space for a sponsor, of course.
  14. Like the choices but don't we need a voting thingy at the top?
  15. What the hell is the matter with the Daily Mail ? - It exists and people buy it! This article is just unsubstantiated tittle tattle and until we see direct quotes from people actually involved in a deal we can safely ignore it.
  16. Probably his long contract. He hasn't been helped on the pitch by the fact that Newcastle are the lowest spending club on transfers by far in recent years.
  17. Eighth place is about right for this squad and I, for one, am pretty happy with the way things have panned out. The insane amount of money given to clubs now means we have a great chance to improve the squad on put even more pressure on the clubs above us. I have faith in the people currently running the club to make the right decisions re player purchases and remuneration so that we can advance towards the holy grail. There are no guarantees about anything, but how some people can only see doom and gloom in every action or statement is beyond me. (OK, death and taxes are pretty much guaranteed!)
  18. Ah, you have made corrections!
  19. And that would be because... Mike Ashley is the fifth richest person in the land, apparently, and he would appear to be a pretty astute businessman. If he was shown a suitable amount of money, I am sure he would sell. After all, you could buy the whole club if you wanted to.
  20. "Ooh, you pulled that off beautifully."
  21. Oh come on, that came from his mum and dad. They are only putting that about in the hope that he'll pop in for tea after a session at the Chelsea training ground!
  22. Sorry, I missed your point, but I agree, the sweet FA will do just that and the Premier League will do nothing that might tarnish the brand until football finds a Lance Armstrong or someone uncovers football's equivalent of cycling's Festina affair.
  23. Don't forget stuff like EPO would help a footballer run flat out for a whole match, must be tempting for some...
  24. How so? Surely any form of random or unannounced testing would be an improvement on what's in place now and make it slightly more credible. At the moment any cheats would be doping and laughing at the authorities just as they have in other sports in the past. Football needs to catch up.
  25. Lucky, I suppose, that league position is based on results of all the games you've played...
