I know its hard not to but don't even reply to them. THe letters will get more and more threatening, but there is absolutely nothing they can do. Eventually they will just go away. If you respond its a bit like fishing for them, they will have a bite and try a bit harder. Ignore them, if you need any more advice, look at the Consumer action Group website, there are loads of cases on there.

Think thats the first time I've seen Contador grimacing a bit. The cynic in me wonders if it is because he is clean this time? Was hoping for a Gilbert win today, I can't stand Evans.

He clearly prefers League 1 to the Prem then...

They were getting their oats? In the breakfast room? Surely thats illegal!

It seems Cav and Hushove have been disqualified from the intermediate sprint. Stupid stupid decision, then again neither of them are French...

Evans won't win the Tour all the while hes got a hole in his arse

Nice. You won't know yourself when you get on a decent roadie. MTB's are ok, but they're built for dirt, they just don't work on the road like a road bike does. A couple of other bits of advice (apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs) Riding kit, you might get laughed at, but get some decent padded shorts, your arse will thank you for it. Tyres, get the best you can afford, the more TPI the better, double punctures 40 miles from home are not much fun. Which leads us on to pumps, road tyres work best at 80+psi, emergency pumps are ok for a get you home, but a decent track pump is essential. What did you think of the TTT today?

I used to be a fairly decent club cyclist a few years ago, before the kids came along and I started driving for a living. Did quite a lot of time trials and a few road races. Just started getting back into it again earlier this year but have a looooong way to go before I;m any where near race fitness again!

There is 9 riders in a team. The time is taken on the fifth man crossing the line. If the whole team is together they all get the same time. So in effect they can afford to drop four riders and it wouldn't matter to the first fives times, although in practice they will try to stay together as much as possible. Today could be very different with the short distance. Any riders suffering mechanical problems may well be left to fend for themselves

Its a bit short really IMO. Team time trials are usually longer, but they do tend to cause certain riders to lose a lot of time so the organisers have shortened it this year to keep things tighter. Basically each team goes off together at three minute intervals, and the time is taken from the fifth man to cross the line, with all riders finishing together getting the same time. Teams will occasionally drop weaker riders, who will then get their own time when they finish, but at 20k this shouldn't happen, and teams try to stay together as much as possible to give recovering riders a longer 'sit in' after their turn pulling on the front. The TTT is my favourite specatacle after the big mountains.

Bad luck for Cav today, didn't fall in the last crash but punctured trying to avoid it! Don't think he would have won anyway though, a bit too uphill for his liking. Serious time lost for Contador already, with the prospect of more tomorrow. The mountains are going to be very interesting this year.

Too much to list really if you'tr talking about finer points. Early stages are generally for the sprinters, bar the Team Time Trial which is a great spectacle. This year its a bit short to really affect the outcome. The race is generally won/lost in the last week mountains, and I see no reason why that won't happen this year. There is a also an ITT on the penultimate day which may throw a spanner in the works, good climbers don't generally time trial well. Oh, and look out for 'dutch corner' on Alpe d'Huez, those guys know how to enjoy cycling!

Can we add an extra coloumn, entitled 'Wages that can be afforded'?

And we are wasting taxpayers money on these 'people' why? Aren't the military normally complaining at lack of decent target practice? Delldays, how accurate could you get an icbm, to the nearest caravan?

Guess it comes down to reasonable force. If the guy can prove he felt in fear of his life and only stabbed the burglar once, in self defence, then he should be found not guilty. However if the guy has 20 stab wounds...

WAs this the docu about the perisher course? Watched it last time they showed it. The teacher is a right tough bastard! THere probably is, but what if it breaks in the middle of a fight?

Banks? Jennings? Shilton? Zoff? Niemi? Casillas? You're all racist against keepers...FFS
