Having just had a quick look at the remaining games for the top 3, there is every chance that we could be 9pts clear of 3rd place when we take to the field against Reading. Meaning a win would see us promoted (like Plymouth last year) bar a massive swing in GD if we win the game. Or 6 pts clear and we would get the same if 3rd place lost on the Sat. Already planning how to spend THAT Friday night, it will go down in folklore !!

We have played better and lost this season, it wont be replayed in 30 years as one of the classics of the 2011/12 season but another 3pts and an away win. I was sat at the back of the home stand next to our fans and had a good view of the game. Lee, some great movement off the ball, he should have scored when he blazed over, great find. Lambert, great performance, i was right behind his second goal, i knew it was in as soon as he hit it. Fonte, Hooiveld have a great understanding of the game and each other, Watford offered nothing much but were not given the option either. Fox, another assist with a great cross for our first goal. Richard Chaplow football genius, (as influential as Marsden was) i love the way he plays for us and no coincidence that our form changed from Bristol away when he went off. Lallana quality, quality quality. The Watford fans were very poor, not one song. Even the drummer gave up and thew his drum to the ground. All in all, a solid performance, away points and back to the top !!

As we are in Watford today it got me thinking, about C.O.L.S.L.A.W. (Committee of loyal Saints Living Around Watford ) & T.O.S.S.A ( The Oxfordshire Southampton Supporters Association ) are they still in existence ? You couldn’t move on the old board for with the number of Tossa quotes posted

Missed RC in midfield, they had a game plan not to let us get to the second ball. We were always going to get beatn: shame our scoring in every game has gone !!!

Just got in ... Good day all in all. 1st half, we passed the ball well, but with little end product in the first 20 mins. Morgan was at the top of his game today and while Gully has flashes of madness with his choices he is always a threat. Lambo looked injured at the end of the 1st half and I was shocked when he came back out. They must of had the bollocking of their lives at half time, as at the end of the 1st they looked at the ball as a hot potato and no-one wanted it, they came out so fired up !! 2 easy goals got them back in it, but this was just a false dawn as we never looked like getting beat. Steeeeevvvvvvee scored with his first touch, and looked very much the poacher we need. 2.4 was about right but may flatter them. Great support again from us, theirs was as bad as I have seen in a long time, on a par with MK Dons …. Yes that bad !!

Who really cares, it’s not to the detriment of the club ... it’s not as if it was our last £600,000 and we couldn’t pay the bills, buy players or expand our facilities. It’s a private company and if the owner/trust agrees its value for money then who the hell has the right to challenge it? It’s a non-story, just a chance for jealous, ill-informed and un-commercially aware people to use it to dig at the club .... a few years ago we were dead in the water, today we can pay what we want to who we want and I’m loving it ....
