Invoice from estate agent after changing to competitor.
Clapham Saint replied to Colinjb's topic in The Lounge
The agent that we used to sell was really good. The deal would definitely have fallen through without his work helping to organise the rest of the chain and other agents. IMO there are some genuinely good estate agents but 95% are just talentless gimps looking to take their percentage in exchange for putting an advert on right move. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -

True in practice, however it is the seller who contracts them to help him find the best price for his house not just whatever price allows them to contractually take commission. And to think bankers have a bad name. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -

Your Move were the agents for the house that we purchased. They were beyond sh**. Totally failed to understand their client's chain circumstances (when discussing with other agents in the chain) to the point that the chain very nearly fell through because of their complete ineptitude. Also discussed with me the fact that we were the only bidder and ways that we might get the seller to accept a lower offer. We would have paid more for the house had he not done this. -
will we see Suarez in our first match? (Answer: No.)

A Liverpool fan in the office has just tried to claim that as LS clearly can't help himself when biting it is actually a mental disorder and accordingly the ban is discriminatory. If he were a fan of any other club I would assume this was tongue in cheek but given that he's scouse... -

It will depend upon what is in the contract that you signed with them. When we moved last year our estate agent's contract stipulated an exclusivity period but also required us to give a month's notice after that period before appointing anybody else. In the end we received a decent offer a week or so after giving them notice. How much are they asking you for? Is it in the region of Batman's £200 or £thousands, effectively wanting to charge fees on a sale they didn't make? -
Ah, but would you have voted for him if you had had the option of voting for Murat Yakin? The Mods are plotting with the betting industry to keep the true front runner away from fans message boards thereby making a killing when he is finally appointed.

If only the board of directors had access to information other than this thread to make their decision. A shame really.

Does anybody know where I might be able to get a replacement tv stand? We have a Sony (KDL - 26EX320) which we had mounted on the wall but having moved house would now prefer to have on top of a set of draws in one of the bedrooms. Unsurprising Mrs CS has thrown out the original stand and I can't seem to find a replacement on line anywhere. Google results are just thousands of replacement remotes... Any help much appreciated. I hope this doesn't make me look stupid but... .. how do they do this? Is it just to do with which direction the mower goes round or do they gut the grass to marginally different lengths or...???

Um... so might some of the money be going somewhere else? Surely not.

Children Over Five 'Wearing Nappies In Class'
Clapham Saint replied to Spudders's topic in The Lounge
Evidently it is possible. The fact that I don't understand it doesn't make it impossible. I just find it baffling that a woman wouldn't realise until that late. -

I've heard/read about people not realising until this late (or later) before, but really don't understand how it is possible. Even ignoring the size of the bump, did she not wonder what the squirming and wriggling sensation in her stomach was? -

These preview/review videos are hilarious. Hadn't watched one before today but they add to the tinpotness off all thinks P*mpey fantastically. They look like they're filmed in the News' toilets using a mobile phone. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/neil-allen-and-jordan-cross-preview-pompey-s-easter-programme-1-6007062 Has any journalist ever looked more uncomfortable than Neil and Jordan do on camera?

Windows 7 logged in with default profile error...
Clapham Saint replied to Clapham Saint's topic in Technology Chat
Thanks WG! I've managed to fix. I was a bit nervous going on line at first in case it had been caused by a virus but all seems ok so far. Thanks again for the links! CS -
I have turned my PC on this evening and after typing in my password there was a delay before I was logged in. When I did finally get though to the desktop it was that for a completely new account and a small pop up message in the corner said that I had been logged in with the default profile. There was no explanation as to why this has happened. I can see that my photos etc are still there under my old profile c:/users/etc but can't log into that profile. Any suggestions? I can set up a new profile and i suppose could transfer the files it I need to but it will be a massive pain in the @ rse which I would rather avoid if I can. Thanks in advance guys. CS

I seem to remember that [x]% of any transfer fees received were marked to be paid to football creditors. Does anybody remember the %? I will laugh if they do get a £1m windfall but then slowly realise that they only get to keep £100k (although I'd obviously rather they didn't even get this).
-
The potential receipt from Liverpool would have been an asset of the old company and so unless there was a clause in the contract with Liverpool specifically preventing it there is no reason why it couldn't have been sold to the new company (and then the new new company), by the administrator. However early settlement of future fees are a comparatively easy way for an administrator to raise some quick cash, albeit at a discount, and I would expect he would settled anything he could. Given all the bad news coming out of fat pipes over the last few weeks I would have thought that if there was even the potential for a £1m windfall then they would be shouting it from the (crumbling) rooftops.

Financial results for year ending 30 June 2013
Clapham Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Because the CFO should be keeping control of these things. If (again IF) this is a major problem then you wouldn't expect him to them be put in day to day control of the whole club. Of course the alternatives are that either he was fighting against the problems and was over ruled by NC (as hypo suggests), or it isn't considered an issue by KL - in which case no problem. -

Clapham Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
If (and that's IF) the level of transfer fees owed and cost controls are considered a major issue by KL, it does seem a little odd for the former Chief Financial Officer to have been promoted to Chief Executive Officer (or whatever his job title actually is now).
