You’d think so, I’m saying no to 3 CBs on the pitch at the same time too!

NUFC is Sandcastle United.
-
Might Arsenal choose to keep him with Elneny’s long term injury?

I’m from Cheshire, usually get to 6-8 away games a season and 1 home game.

Doesn’t it shut 11pm on Thursday?

Not in terrible form generally! I remember Tadic having crazy assist stats and he didn’t disappoint on that front.

What a ridiculous deal if true. Broja is worth £25-30m, Gallagher the at least same. I do not get this hype for Gordon at all!
-
Such a good signing for a newly promoted team. Players like Lodi, MGW, Henderson and Lingard are not in our reach unfortunately. Mad that they have made those moves happen.

One of my best mates is Albanian and as soon as we were bought out he messaged me “say goodbye to Broja”. Plenty on here have played it down as he was born in the UK. I’ve met plenty of Albanians that have only known living here and the hatred is still fully there. All speculation of course but I’d say it’s likely the Serbian association hasn’t helped with our permanent pursuit of Broja. Would love to be wrong and see him with a Saints shirt in hand on Thursday though!

We can dream!

I’d love to know how much our rejected bid was for. What a signing he’d be!

Renan Lodi is a mad signing for Forest. Reguilón from Spurs is a downgrade for Athletico. Would have loved to see Saints bring in this sort of player and improve our LB position but we are not spending €5m loan fee plus a buy option at €30m. It’s been mentioned before but I’d prefer us to do improve LB than just cover RB with a loan. Guess our transfer budget has other priorities. Perraud had a good spell during our best run last season so hopefully we see that version of him soon!

I worry that Casemiro is going to make them a much more solid team. Pleased no Martial and with all the Ronaldo rumours this could even be his last ever game for United. I want to see us go for it from the start and put them under pressure. Think we’ll score but ultimately lose this one, hope Saints prove me wrong! If Perraud is fit then I would pick this team but with Stu Armstrong instead of Adam.

He looks more than capable to help improve our squad. Few clips in there of him bossing the game against us for WBA. The question is whether or not he’s happy playing FB for Saints or not. If he is then sign him up!
-
Was Ings signed on deadline day? There is still hope but it’s either quiet as we are keeping it under wraps or we have missed out of our main targets and there is nothing to leak. Praying for the former!

Nunez has to be worth much more than just €15m more than his back up surely? Think Ramos has a fair bit to prove before he commands such a fee, I see this as a not for sale like us saying Prowsey is worth £75m and WHU saying Rice is £150m.

Considering that his flexibility to play multiple roles is the biggest attraction to signing him, the views of that particular writer and many agreeing fans in the comments would suggest he wouldn’t be happy covering all those roles? Which is concerning if we are bringing him in to cover for Tino’s injury too, for example. It’s plausible that after his WBA and Roma loans he might have realised to be a PL player he needs to be willing to play multiple roles, but if not we should avoid this, rather than have an unhappy player on loan. I was pleased when this link came back up but reading that article has introduced doubt.

So that’s AMN and Garner where we have been reported to be favourites to sign them at some point. Would it be right to assume it’s one or the other? Perhaps Everton with the money incoming from Gordon can offer Garner a better package?

Che has just scored 4 goals in 100ish mins and hit the post. As well as playing a part in all but 2 of our other goals. For me we cannot afford to sell now. Ideally extend the contract, sign our new record fee striker and see if we still need Che in the summer. However, if he won’t sign an extension or we need funds to buy a new and hopefully improved striker (which does come with risk) our model cannot allow him to go down to 1 year on his contract and be worth less than we paid for him surely? if Che can keep up this current form, the pressure on any new striker will be much less.

I’d agree with that. Shame for us as he seems exactly the type of player we need. Although post injury I haven’t seen him play too much to judge his current level… Just over a week to go now, hoping we do sign a striker, number 10/wide striker, FB cover and possibly an experienced CB, if we sell Bednarek. Lots to do, not feeling confident we will tick all of those boxes by September 1st but should be a busy/interesting week.
