HUDDS INCE BID REJECTED Huddersfield have had a £7.2m bid for Tom Ince rejected by Derby, according to Sky sources. We understand that the newly-promoted Premier League club are likely to return with an improved offer for the former England U21 winger, as they look to strengthen their squad. The 24-year-old Ince is one of the top attacking talents in the Championship and scored 15 times last season, with six assists -
I've officially lost my mind, as I was just #PonderingLikeVanDijk and thought I'd be happy with Brendan Rodgers.

I wouldn't of expected anything else from him. A very dignified & classy man.

Confirmed: -
Agree with you both, but after seeing Maguire's fee quoted at £18m for a player with a year left, I fear Gibson would be even more.
-
Pellegrino seems like the most "Saints" choice. Don't know much about him yet. His name is a good mash-up of Poch / Pelle / & my former 1st choice before Claude of Manuel Pellegrini.

TUCHEL OUT OF SAINTS RACE Borussia Dortmund’s highly-rated former manager, Thomas Tuchel, has ruled himself out of the vacant manager’s job at Southampton. The 43-year old was the bookies’ early favourite to take over at St Mary’s, following last night’s sacking of Claude Puel. Sky Sports News HQ understands that Teuchel has not ruled out a move to the Premier League, but the role at Southampton does not appeal to him. Tuchel is known to want to continue managing a team in the Champions League.

There goes the theory we've had a master plan in place to unveil him.

I feel sad for Claude. A nice man, good coach, but had bad luck with injuries and largely too conservative in his style. What I'm most happy about is we get to move forward now without being in this weird Twilight zone that we've been in since the season ended.

I agree. I would've liked Maguire & Pickford and I probably would have assumed (£20m for Pickford & £10m for Maguire with 1 year left on his deal). Now here we are & both on the move for a total of £47m! Bonkers! -
He's friends with Dalian Wanda.

WBA REJECT FOXES BID FOR EVANS West Bromwich Albion have rejected a bid of £10m from Leicester City for defender Jonny Evans, according to Sky sources. We understand it was a flat "no" from the Baggies who, having lost their captain Darren Fletcher to Stoke earlier this month, are determined to keep their vice captain. As reported earlier today, Leicester are close to completing a £17m deal to sign Harry Maguire from relegated Hull City with the two clubs having agreed a fee and the structure of payments, and Maguire himself has agreed personal terms and completed a medical. -

I've always thought a club going through a take-over is at a disadvantage during close/pre-season.
