  1. Can't disagree with any of that.
  2. Telegraph Premium article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/01/28/southampton-do-not-punch-weight-prize-fighters/
  3. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4167578/Southampton-edge-closer-sealing-15m-Gabbiadini-deal.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 Tasci mentioned too.
  4. @SkyKaveh: Tianjin Quanjian offer £38m (€45m) for Leicester City striker Islam Slimani. Willing to pay him £300,000 a week before tax - £15.6m a year Leicester must love that.
  5. He would likely be double.
  6. I'm thinking we will only get 1 defender in.
  7. @SouthamptonFC: Puel on transfers: "We will see in the next few days if some players can join this squad." #saintsfc
  8. Question is, are any of the U23 strikers fit?
  9. Might be a Charity Shield in there somewhere.... (& a league title if you count Nathan Dyer?)
  10. Crikey, that's not so good.
  11. Rumoured 5 year, 40k a week deal agreed. So that would essentially replace Jose's wages. Question is, would FFP prohibit us from adding a Sakho-esque 70k+ wage?
  12. He's copied that from the article in The Times this morning (See post #790)
  13. Olomola is injured, I believe. Ryan is still coming back to fitness after a serious injury. Isgrove is fit, but seems to have gone backwards this season.
  14. The only known facts are: - Lander is interested in some kind of investment (How much '£' & '%' is speculation.) - Kat's statement says "partnership".
  15. Wowsers. Some good detail in there, assuming it's true. Probably makes me a little more nervous if they want a controlling stake.
  16. If Yoshida is out, you know sh*t is getting real when Gardos is back in the frame.

  19. If our scouting remains tip-top, I don't see us being able to keep players any easier - the only way we can do that is to sign crap players that nobody wants. Would be great if they can come in, don't rock the boat & they give us in-roads into better commercial deals & primarily stadium development expertise. That would be a win-win.
  20. Great stuff. This loan move has gone really well for him. So much better than last season. Pleased for him.
  21. MLG will be taking names of all people that have said he's wrong and will be planning long term revenge.
  22. Believe so. Really hope Jay is ok. He's been slowly getting back to form.
  23. Sam Wallace (who has good club connections) made it pretty clear in his preview tweet earlier that it isn't a takeover:
  24. SSN: Watford have announced the signing of AC Milan forward M'Baye Niang. The 22-year-old has signed on loan until the end of the 2016/17 season, and the Hornets also have the option of making the move permanent in the summer.
  25. Some serious money... Lets hope he's more Pelle than Osvaldo. It's funny, I thought we would either go for a Pelle-type striker or a Mane-type forward... and we actually go for one who's not like either! - Shows what I know
