I know mate. In an ideal world, we would have signed Hojbjerg/Boufal/Redmond etc AND kept Vic/Pelle/Mane. We then would have had a squad to handle the extra fixtures.

There is no doubt we carry a very lean squad. I think, primarily, because we have academy graduates as our 2nd choice for a few positions which is enviable to a degree, but it starts to look very think when injuries (& captain's handing in transfer requests) start to mount up.

I remember I used to say that Crouchie at Liverpool always "got the goals subbed out of him" by Rafa. I remember him scoring goals for them and then being left out the next game and he wasn't able to get a run going.

I'd agree with that. I believe we are looking - but there's also no doubt that January is the worst time to be looking. But most of us flagged the strikers up as a problem area in the summer.
