Agree. Stanciu AND Boufal would make sense in a "support 3". I can't see us signing both with the diamond formation. If we sticking with the diamond, I'm very curious to see what type of strike we are bringing in.

Wow. That is some record. http://m.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/14699826.Southampton_must_break_Moyes_record_to_kick_start_season/?ref=rss

HAMMERS INTEREST IN ZAZA Sky sources understand West Ham are keen on Juventus striker Simone Zaza. The Hammers hold “concrete” interest in the Italy international, according to the players’ father, but we understand the Premier League side want to sign him on loan. Juventus are only interested in a permanent deal, though.

I'm jumping on the band-wagon too. When I was a kid, I always played as Argentina on International Superstar Soccer : Deluxe They played 4-4-2 diamond. What did I learn from it? You need a sh*t hot No.10. He wasn't real, but I loved Redonda. AWESOME player

The nearest you get to wingers are the strikers, when they split out wide.

Last nights game was a great watch. I really enjoyed it. Pretty much everyone played well - I'd keep an eye on Tyreke Johnson though. 17 years old. If we can keep that standard up, I'm very interested in seeing how we would get on in the EFL Trophy this year.

STOKE HAVE JONES HOPES Stoke assistant manager Mark Bowen claims the club are hopeful of signing defender Phil Jones from Manchester United in the next week. United boss Jose Mourinho appears to be going with Eric Bailly and Daley Blind as his centre-back pairing, and with Chris Smalling also in the mix, Jones may be tempted to move on for regular first-team football. Stoke manager Mark Hughes is keen to land the England international, and Bowen has confirmed a deal could materialise. "I don't know what's gone wrong, but he's gone from even a player Fergie [Alex Ferguson] was talking about as being someone who could have been one of the greats. But we have a bit of reputation for bringing players like that into this set-up and then thriving. Fingers crossed, something may happen."
