@southamptonfc: Take a look at some of the numbers behind Pierre-Emile Højbjerg's impressive display for #SaintsFC at Old Trafford: http://mobile.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/20160822-pierre-emile-hojbjerg-statistical-review-manchester-united-3264014.aspx

Watching his interviews, I often forget he's just turned 21.

Can I cheat and invert the tip of the diamond? ---------------Forster--------------- Pied---Fonte---Van Dijk---Targett ---------------Romeu--------------- ----------Davis----Hojbjerg---------- ----Redmond------------Tadic---- ---------------Austin---------------

Would agree with this. 3 if we lose Jay or Fonte

That's the thing isn't it? He should be a huge plus. We just have to trust the decision makers on him because we don't know how he fits or plays in this system. In theory, he should suit it very well. He's powerful, quick & has played as both a striker and attacking left forward. On paper, he fits this formation like a glove.

My incredibly simplistic feeling about our finances is: - We generally spend what we make from sales on new signings. - The TV money goes into the new contracts & to run the club. I don't see any problems with that. As best I can tell, Cortese's SPEND WITHOUT SELLING policy, whilst it got us promted, saddled us with a ton of debt that we still have now. Our owner wants us to be self sufficient.

I'm actually surprised he's still there. Are they just holding onto him until they sign a striker?
-
Incredible that he hasn't been picked up by now by someone.
-
Wouldn't have been the worst choice!

I've seen this referred to, but I never saw who said it was a former prem flop?

I'm guessing Gueye & Bolasie?!

Thanks Monk. I recall you mentioning him several times on here.

Almost no chance. I'm fairly sure he will end up at Stoke.

Famous smiley will do just fine (preferably happy ones!) Thanks.

Cool. Do you know about any outgoings, Guan?

John Percy is very clued in at WBA. I can't imagine we would sanction this deal though (& certainly not unless we have a replacement lined up).

BILIC HOPES 'GENEROUS' CHAIRMAN WILL LAND 'A GOOD ONE' West Ham boss Slaven Bilic says the club are looking to land "a good one" before the transfer window closes at the end of the month. "Lanzini, Payet should be back Thursday or Sunday, we are alright for creation in midfield, with Andre Ayew it’s long term and hopefully he will be back December 1," said Bilic after West Ham beat Bournemouth 1-0 on Super Sunday. "Are we going to be very active? We are going to try to get one, I think the chairman is going to be very generous and he will get one if we find the proper one, it’s very hard now. "There is no club in Europe that has been linked with more players than West Ham and most of them are not true. I am going to speak with the chairman and director of recruitment on Monday and if we get one, it’s got to be a good one."

Andy Carroll out for 6 weeks.... So.... BILIC INTERESTED IN BONY West Ham are chasing Manchester City's Wilfried Bony, according to the Daily Mail. The Hammers have reportedly asked to take Bony on loan, with Slaven Bilic looking for cover for the injured Andre Ayew who is facing up to four months out. The 27-year-old Ivory Coast international has several offers to consider including one from China but is said to be interested in a move to the Olympic Stadium.
