Is this move linked with FFP at all? Whilst I wouldn't let him go myself, I can only hope (if it becomes permanent) that we have got a stupidly high sell-on percentage written into the contract.

I think we'd have been in with a shout for some of our top targets ordinarily, however with the outgoings this summer... I think the perception of the club put a lot of our top targets off.

The van Dijk link really went quiet quite early. Not sure the Scots press have really mentioned it too much recently. Guan always hinted Vlaar was No.1 centre-back choice. I'm guessing van Dijk & Gardos were 2 alternatives & we landed Gardos.

This is very true. It's a great move for him to come to us - Get's a much bigger platform to perform, plus he gets to play every week.
