That's what I was hoping for. Charlie said on the other thread that Sunderland are apparently in for van Dijk... So maybe that puts them off the trail as well?

Sky Italia correspondent Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Arsenal have made a bid for Borussia Dortmund's Greek defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Is this move linked with FFP at all?
Whilst I wouldn't let him go myself, I can only hope (if it becomes permanent) that we have got a stupidly high sell-on percentage written into the contract.
I think we'd have been in with a shout for some of our top targets ordinarily, however with the outgoings this summer... I think the perception of the club put a lot of our top targets off.
Cheers Guan. We should get Clasie regardless.
- Cork doesn't appear to be due a new contract.
- Morgan's time here is basically on a count-down.
- Taider is an unknown quantity.

Mauricio Pochettino has no intention of letting Roberto Soldado or Andros Townsend leave #THFC before the end of the transfer window.
The van Dijk link really went quiet quite early. Not sure the Scots press have really mentioned it too much recently.
Guan always hinted Vlaar was No.1 centre-back choice. I'm guessing van Dijk & Gardos were 2 alternatives & we landed Gardos.
