  1. Good question. I'm really torn on the subject. Depends what you want from your striker I guess. I'm ruling Sharp/Maynard out. Rodriguez - Surprised we've not been linked this window TBH. Pretty sure he was target no.1 last time round. Class player. Perhaps has the best long-term potential. Similar to Lambert though? Hooper - I like him. Scored goals at this level, and scores for fun up north (not hard though) - But 6+ million is a hell of a lot of money... Sordell - Young, and pacey. I probably have seen him the least. But his attributes fit the bill for what I think we lack. Rhodes - Everyone wants him. I still think 4-5 million is a lot to spend on a league 1 striker. Beckford - Pacey, scores goals, but not sure his attitude combined with his wages are worth it as a package. I'll go with Hooper (just pipping J-Rod, but I'd be happy with any of them) - Can never have too much fire-power.
  2. Clyne would be fantastic, but he's surely destined for Prem...
  3. Small world! (And you're right - Fair play to him for sticking with us)
  4. Agreed. I'd happily take Snodgrass off their hands for them. Fantastic player.
  5. Indeed. Think West Ham enquired, but were told he wasn't for sale. Saw Lee Clark on Soccer Saturday last week saying that he'd be staying til the summer and then they'd see what happens (Sold like Peltier & Pilkington). They'd be crazy to sell him now.
  6. Fantastic. A mini TeamTALK reunion!
  7. Not related to us, but Leeds could be about to lose their captain.... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7439935/Canaries-agree-Howson-fee
  8. Were we linked with him before? I don't recall seeing anything... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7436829/Foxes-join-Vardy-hunt
  9. Pleased with this. Here's how I see it - Harry knows a good player when he see's one. So Spurs bring him over on loan to see him in training, for a few months, sign him up & immediately send him to us. If he wasn't any good, they would've sent him back to Italy without signing him. Really looking forward to seeing him play.
  10. Andrew Driver maybe? Just a guess. Think it'll be a winger or a centre-back.
  11. Punch would be a great hit up north.
  12. He doesn't need to know anything about transfers - It's the owners that will offer the silly money.
  13. Sordell would be great. But you'd be looking at 4.5m+ I'd imagine.
  14. What we say in respect to our youth players being sold doesn't really mean much now. We're in a much stronger position than we have been, but when the elite come knocking - We can't hold onto them. All we can do is hope they sign pre-contract deals, and get us much money as we can for them - That's a pretty terrible way of looking at it - But it's reality.
  15. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7424439/Boro-close-on-Jutkiewicz If we wanted him, we'd have gotten him IMO.

  17. Chambers really impressed me vs Man Utd in the youth match. Great footwork.
  18. He's thinking about going off to the States rather than the Skates http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7422203/Boyd-considering-MLS-move
  19. Glasgow, we've mentioned EVERY championship striker on this thread.
  20. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11741/7421940/Seagulls-eye-Mclean-swoop (He got mentioned a little while back)
  21. Fair point. Puncheon & Phillips is a hell of a wing pairing for this league.
  22. Crikey. I'd have taken that. He's just using up wages if we aren't going to play him. Never cross the Don.
  23. I'd say he was worth 1 million back in the day, when he was hitting hat-tricks for Millwall, then went to the Prem with Blackpool and looked good. The QPR stint didn't do him much good at all - I'd take 500k now.
