I'd go for:- Davis Thomas Trotman Perry Harding Mellis James Hammond Mills Lallana Lambert If you start with Pato & Lambo upfront, you leave yourself with d*ck all attacking options if you want to change things up front. (Or if you get an injury)

Burley was never going to work out as Scots Boss. His supposed strengths were getting teams to play attractive football, and using his scouting network to bring in decent foreign players. Neither were going to be beneficial to the Scots. They need someone who will get them organised, and fight tooth and nail to grind out a win. Not quite sure how he landed the job to be honest.

I can't argue with any of that. Mellis was the only signing that didn't stand out as being an obvious fit into our system. Murty/Harding/Jaidi/Trotman/Lambert/Hammond probably all would've done a job for us last season. Still a little worried about Saga & Morgan's mind-set. If Saga goes, we'll still be short up front.

I'd say jump straight back in for the younger striker S-Clarke mentioned in his opening post. It'd be a huge ask for Patterson to play the full season.

Interesting... Any clues if he's going to go for another striker? I can't imagine Saga will stay (and that's IF we're lucky enough to keep Rasiak). I wonder if he is targetting Whitbread @ Millwall? I know he wants a higher level, but then you would've assumed that about Lambert too. Then that just leaves the mysterious midfielder....

Wotton puts himself about, but his 'distribution' involes those crappy little chips forward (that he did vs Hearts too).

The best place to play him at the moment (with out lack of strikers) is just in the hole, behind a lone striker. 4-4-1-1. Think that's the way to get the best from him.

Holland would be ideal though. Pulis is up to the job, and assuming Morgan leaves, we'll be quite short in that area.

Perry was SUPERB against Hearts. He read everything.

I think we need to cut our losses & PAY MONEY for a couple of players who have scored goals in this division. We've been found wanting a little bit, and have let BWP, McG & John go, with Rasiak & Saga probably soon to follow. We SO should have signed Sam Vokes last season.
