  1. In the last 6 games we have now conceded a goal from the oppositions first shot on target( and in many cases the only shot on target in the match). On some occasions like today and last Sunday we have conceded from the first two shots on target.. This is getting a bit worrying for me as a keeper is in the side to make saves and this is something Forster seems to struggle to do( one clean sheet in 13 home games now) This inability to keep any opposition shots out and the lack of cutting edge up front is the reason we are going to be in a mid-lower table scrap this season. If McCarthy wasn't injured, I'd be pushing for him to start for a while.
  2. Agree.
  3. Where to start. Such a disappointing result which is a microcosm of our season so far. So much of the ball, but did so little with it. 1-0 up cruising and playing a team forced into two changes, woefully short of confidence, yet we showed little desire to get a second, seemingly content playing keep ball in our half to no avail. Then yet again we manage shoot ourselves in the foot and gift Hull a way back to a game. We have a keeper who doesn't make saves right now for whatever reason. (Hull 2 shots on target, 2 goals), an insipid midfield pairing in Davis and Clasie who seem lost in the opposition third, offering zero creativity and zero goal threat. Couple that with an ineffective Redmond and an out of form Tadic and it's going to be a long season, where it's going to be a struggle to create and to finish those chances. Interestingly Boufal was originally named in the starting line up, but Puel changed his mind, can't help but think a bit more of the unpredictable creative option might have helped in a game like this.
  4. Austin has to score then.
  5. Yep I said the same against Inter. The guy never seems to make anything better then slightly average saves at the moment. Any shot on target seems to go in.
  6. Said it before, but not a fan of Davis. He is so limited and offers little going forward. I'd start Ward-Prowse or Hojbjerg over him personally.
  7. Boufal on for Tadic. After the horse has bolted.
  8. This is ****. Losing a game we should have been out of sight.
  9. FFS. We are so frustrating.
  10. Yep we've been pretty turgid going forward, Can't remember a chance we've created apart from the penalty.
  11. Penalty... Austin Scores
  12. Chelsea 2-0 up, Stekelenburg at fault for both..
  13. When was the last time we had a Saturday game? Feels like its been ages.
  14. Sort of game we should be looking to win comfortably, however we need to make sure we have the right attitude and right frame of mind, as all too often in recent seasons we have lost games we should be winning comfortably.
  15. JWP was my man of the match tonight, Some superb controlled passing and was unlucky not to score. VVD also good alongside Yoshida, and McQueen put in a good shift. One negative is that Tadic should never be allowed anywhere near another penalty for us.
  16. Need a big half here. Our Europa dream is in danger of crumbling down.
  17. Good keepers make saves you don't expect them to, hence them being good keepers. Forster's save to shot ratio must be poor as we only have to give the opposition one chance for it to be a goal. He's a good organizer and communicator, just starting to think I'd like a bit better in the actual goalkeeping department. And like others I had zero faith in Tadic, Ward-Prowse should have taken it.
  18. Why did Tadic take it and not JWP?
  19. For a big keeper Forster doesn't make very many saves.
  20. JWP running the show so far
  21. Terrific atmosphere so far
  22. Rodriguez should have done better
  23. Come on you Reds!!!
