  1. Leicester up to 9th right on the heels of Watford as things stand.. and Everton above us
  2. Against Burnley to a lot of teams (including us) have struggled with Burnley this season.
  3. Tell us how you'd phrase the chant and then we can decide if it's offensive. Would you get upset if someone chanted "Does your misses know your here?" At a football match?
  4. How so? Everton where awful not even Sunday league standard against us that says more about the state of their team than ours. It's not like we went toe to toe with city either we sat deep and in shape (sensible tactic considering the disparity in squad quality) it certainly didn't show us to be a good team just a solid one. On squad depth the injury to Cedric is problem due to lack of quality cover behind him (same at LB) and the GK issue is partly down to a lack of options for Forster.
  5. from the article District Judge Tessa Szagun said she banned Coombs from football matches for three years to "prevent him from causing violent disorder at football matches". The guy is a dweeb who goes to the football with his mum normally. One time he goes to a game without his mum, he has a bit to drink and does something stupid. As someone pointed out above in a case like this it would make more sense to treat it like a minor driving offence and send him to an education program to understand where he went wrong. A three year banning order is ridiculous, he isn't some hardcore football hooligan, he's just stupid.
  6. Depends if you want see a load of shirtless Brighton lads or not ...opps Did I just suggest some sort of homophobia with that comment?
  7. I'm quite happy to sing "he's got chlamydia" in the interests of promoting equality between the sexes...
  8. Clearly a hardcore casual to quote the article "In normal circumstances he would go to games with mum and dad"
  9. A SAINTS fan who used to work in the club's shop has been banned from football matches after shouting homophobic abuse at Brighton fans. Former Southampton FC retail worker Jonathan Coombs, 28, shouted "does your boyfriend know you’re here" and other foul-mouthed abuse at Brighton and Hove Albion fans, as he watched his team play away at at the American Express Community Stadium. He was arrested at the ground by police for a public order offence. http://www.bing.com/cr?IG=05D46EB511E54D26BD5A5F40CD590E07&CID=35C7C136A84464302F22CA7CA98565BA&rd=1&h=6GLoZ58h1Ba5F--_2Hr0gYHu8lN6dhyHqKHRWoJ5avY&v=1&r=http%3a%2f%2fwww.dailyecho.co.uk%2fnews%2fdistrict%2fsouthampton%2f15695114.Saints_club_shop_worker_banned_from_football_matches%2f&p=DevEx,5025.1
  10. Not just Liverpool either they put 6 past Watford, 7 past Stoke, 3 past Burnley and 3 past Arsenal. Parking the bus against them is the price they pay for being the best side in the league. If city want everyone to play open attacking football against them they need to build a team similar to the current west ham side.
  11. Wasn't the "conversation" after the game had finished?
  12. Confidence is a big factor for players like Stirling and Redmond they have to have the confidence to try things and take people on Redmond's confidence looks shot. He isn't as bad a player as people make out (though he was pants last night).
  13. Yeah I'm not sure we will see Cedric after last night. Pied is a massive step down. Unless we shift McQueen or Bertrand to play at right back (not ideal granted) I guess it will be Pied. Anyone know if we have any decent RBs in the youth set up who could step up?
  14. Probably worth linking to the comments Whatever Redmond had done during the game had clearly irked Guardiola, but the player himself seemed to remain calm throughout the altercation. It seems, though, that rather than angry verbals, Guardiola had simply been voicing his frustration on behalf of the player.*"(I told him) how good a player he is," Guardiola said. "Last season he destroyed us here. I didn't know him last season, I realised how good he is. "Southampton have some super-talented players, Redmond is so good one against one. http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651530FFE51&tid=609E5509F29A447B9E5E1FF27EA16C9D&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.telegraph.co.uk%2ffootball%2f2017%2f11%2f30%2fpep-guardiola-said-tirade-nathan-redmond-man-citys-dramatic%2f&c=3996046199213588134&mkt=en-gb
  15. Austin wouldn't have worked last night in the way we set up he just doesn't have the pace or energy. Austin is the option at home when we control the games more and have more of the ball. Personally I'd have gone with Gabbi over Long but I can see why he went with Shane.
  16. But Davis is turning in our midfield goal machine this season probably having his best season in years.
  17. Apparently he was telling Redmond how good a player he is and how disappointed he was with the way he played... http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651530FFE51&tid=609E5509F29A447B9E5E1FF27EA16C9D&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.telegraph.co.uk%2ffootball%2f2017%2f11%2f30%2fpep-guardiola-said-tirade-nathan-redmond-man-citys-dramatic%2f&c=3996046199213588134&mkt=en-gb
  18. I don't know what they expect when their team is battering side by 5 or 6 goals no one is going to try and go toe to toe with them. If they want teams to play against them they should sell most of their players and buy some more average ones.
  19. Haha seems Pep rather rates Redmond ? Whatever Redmond had done during the game had clearly irked Guardiola, but the player himself seemed to remain calm throughout the altercation. It seems, though, that rather than angry verbals, Guardiola had simply been voicing his frustration on behalf of the player.*"(I told him) how good a player he is," Guardiola said. "Last season he destroyed us here. I didn't know him last season, I realised how good he is. 20. Bloody hell when was the last time we only had 25% possession in a game?
  21. So close can't fault the boys for their effort this City side have put some teams to the sword but we competed and gave a good account of themselves.
  22. **** off so close
  23. Don't deserve the team they have.
  24. Oops man city fans
  25. No idea I've got solent on
