  1. On this performance perhaps we could play Hoj and Romeu as holders and try Lemina in front as a more box to box type?
  2. As long as city don't knock the confidence straight back out of us...
  3. Thought he played well but he still over does it at times far to many stupid little back heels to no one that any team better than Everton would have punished us for. We got lucky with some atrocious defending from Everton today as well which helped.
  4. Pretty much this is was a fun game to watch but Everton made it ****ing easy at times. Still winning and scoring goals might provide some much needed confidence to the players. Best I've seen Hoj play I've not been a fan but he impressed me to do so fair play to him. Austin might be slow, slightly rotund and seemingly unfit but he knows how to score if he gets the chance. Also a rare as hens teeth moment today Forster came off his line at a corner and actually....caught the ball Generally good performances all round but Everton were so **** its hard to read much in to it.
  5. We'll that's a given...
  6. We scored the shot though so that's progress.. TBF We've hit the post, Austin ****ed a good chance up and VVD, left totally open at a corner managed to put, wide when getting it on target would have been easier. Should have had a pen for handball to.
  7. Err we are drawing... still we the half time race to liven things up
  8. Its so easy for opposition teams these days come to SMS barely get out off your half, take your one chance, go home with some points.
  9. **** me how many times have we conceded from long range this season. Why is every ****er in SMS, except the ones in red and white on the pitch, can see it coming. The saints defence just ran away and invited him to shoot.
  10. It's like the good old days expecting saints to get stuffed hoping for a draw hoping MLT..err...Boufal can save us with a moment of magic...
  11. That could just be the return of some of their better players from injury.
  12. It's just another cope out for the modern player most normal people can do their job to a high standard without their line manager giving them constant "motivation". The club canned the last manager that the players weren't happy with bought in another one a yet we've had no positive reaction from the players at all in performance terms. They can't hide behind it's all the nasty managers fault all the time how about they man up and show some ****ing pride in themselves even if it's just playing well to a transfer elsewhere.
  13. What you think the club is trying to give the appearance the fans want the manager gone? If so seems like they could save themselves the effort..
  14. Not sure the players give a ****. They know that they still get paid who ever the manager is and if we get relegated they'll all do a runner anyway.
  15. this always helps Zaza, a West Ham reject, is the league's second top goalscorer after Lionel Messi. Any team are going to do well if they can get a striker in form. Considering how **** Zaza was for West Ham that's a pretty amazing turn around. I wonder if we well ever see a 20 goals a season striker, in the premier league, in a saints shirt again? who was the last one to do that Beattie?
  16. Some maybe but we have probably the worst keeper in the league I would literally take any other PL teams keeper over him he is costing us points every week. Our strikers have the worst conversion rates in the league. Our midfield is decent if Romeu and Lemina are both available (but gash if not) and our defence on paper is very good but two out of the four are just phoning in a performance every week. My take is the manager could do more to get the best out of what we have but also this squad is not nearly as good as same people seem to think it is.
  17. erm your first statement suggests the second isn't that true...
  18. and weekday evening football under the floodlights
  19. that actually requires some one to score...so not hopeful
  20. yeah getting shots "on target" is something our players struggle with its not that they don't have shots its just the corner flag is and easier target than the big goal thing.....
  21. Life time supply of dildos for Jamie Carragher?
  22. As opposed to what Stoke, WHU, West Brom, Burnley, Watford or us? In the PL right now there are about 4 teams who play attractive, exciting football on a regular basis the rest are mostly trying to not get beat and stay in the league for the cash. Most of the games in the PL are pretty boring most weeks and fans of a lot of PL clubs complain about the boring football most of them will happily take boring football while its getting results mind (like Pulis last season or Burnley this season)
  23. That's going to happen anyway we are ****e with a squad made up of mostly average players changing manager isn't going to see us suddenly battering the likes of Man city and Spurs. The damage was done during the last two summer and can't just be fixed by simply changing manager. MoPe isn't doing a great job and we can certainly improve on where we are right now but I doubt a new manager will improve us as much as a better a goal keeper, a proper 10 (with passing vision and a goal threat) and a striker who knows how to score a goal would improve us. I wouldn't lose any sleep about MoPe getting the heave ho but I also don't have much faith any manager is going to get much more out the squad than Puel did with out major surgery on a squad that has become bloated with mediocrity.
  24. Since Puel took over Leicester have scored five goals in the last four games we can only dream of such goal scoring poweress ..
  25. I imagine the Leicester players are struggling with having the ball more than their opponents a new experience for them..... still at least their fans actual get to see their team score goals
