When we get into a position to shoot we can't even get the ****er on target and I'm pretty sure a cross into the box isn't a chance unless saints player actually connects with it to send it goal bound. If you only count shots in games (and yeah some of those barely deserve to be called a shot) according to the BBC our last three games against West ham we had 21 shots WHU had 6 Swansea we had 12 Swansea had 10 Burnely we had 20 Burnely had 9 What ever the criteria for a shot is being used it's being used for both sides so represents a reasonable guide. We are frequently having more shots (not always Everton away Everton had 17 shots to our 12) than the opposition and yet not getting many goals from them. Our Midfielders can't shoot on target and our forwards cant finish never a good combo for any team. It was the same for big chunks of last season luckily for us Mane, Pelle and Long found some form in the end of season run in to put a big gloss on the season and help everyone forget how turd we were through the middle of the season.

I go to plenty of live games and its amazing how many incidents I see in a completely different light once I watch the highlights and replays latter you can miss plenty at live games you don't appreciate until you see stuff back latter.

I'm not sure not being at games in an era where every game is live streamed, highlights are available all over the web with in minutes of a game ending and every decision can be watched in multiple angels with pundit opinion voiced over the top means people who go to matches have a better idea of what's going on than those who don't go to games. Its not like the old days where you had a bit of radio commentary and nothing else to go on if you didn't go to a game. People can see every saints game of the season on a laptop in Aus and probably had a better view of the game than you did sat at SMS....to quote Dylan "Times they are a changing"

Anyone who wasn't seriously expecting the club to cash in on a cup final is being a bit naive just rest easy knowing the proceeds will probably allow one of our players to get another well deserved pay raise....

Mane and Victor had their agents hawking them around for a while before they left it was pretty clear to anyone paying attention they didn't see Southampton as a long term destination. We have plenty of players who have stayed around for a while Davis, Bertrand, JWP or Yoshida none of those float your boat Nordic.

Bollix no one really cares about style its about winning. If we played like peps Barca and lost every week people would still be unhappy. If we played route one smash it long but won every game everyone would be happy. Leicester fans are great example didn't see any of them complaining about the style of football last season but now they aren't winning most weeks they're all whinging about it. The style complaint is really just an excuse for people being unhappy we aren't winning more games. Nothing wrong with being upset when we don't win but lets just be honest about it. In ideal world your team wins every game playing like 1970s Brazil but in the end its the winning that truly matters not the way you do it. Cue loads of posters saying they'd rather lose every week playing eye catching football....

It hasn't been that hard for Everton to hold on to Lukaku because no ****er has ever bid for him and certainly none of the big clubs Lukaku and his agent keep telling everyone he should be playing for. I'm willing to bet if no team ever bids for VVD he will stay at saints for another 5 years

Sorry I don't agree I like to stand as much as the next bloke but I wouldn't stand if it was blocking the view of someone in a wheel chair that's just being an arse.

He actually got the ball in the net and looked more dangerous than most of our attacking players have managed all season in that one game. On that one performance he already looks a better option than most of our attacking players right now so If I had to pick a squad for a game tomorrow he is in. This might change after a few more games but right now he would get in my team over Long or Jrod.
