  1. Football really doesn't work like that though we will no doubt lose games we expect to win and win games we expect to lose. If you think we need three more wins to stay up out of 15 more games I should think you should be pretty relaxed...
  2. http://www.soccer-coaches.com/introduction-of-pressing-in-soccer/ Types of Pressing The field can be divided into three zones. If Pressing is applied in the opponent’s half or close to the opponent’s goal, it is called High-Pressure or Forechecking. This is a hockey term where player apply pressure in the attacking third. If a team drops into its own half to defend, this is called Low-Pressure. The most common type of Pressing is Midfield Pressing. Pressing is applied in the area of 15m distance from halfway line in both the opponent’s half and the team’s own half. .
  3. Not arguing that our counter attacking doesn't need working on but it doesn't change the fact that we do press just much further back on the pitch than we did under Poch.
  4. No we do press but in general we now only do it in own half (unlike poch who liked to press high) we seem content to sit in shape and let the other team have the ball until they cross the halfway line then we press. I guess that is because Puel wants to draw the other team out to leave space for a counter attack. We have pressed all over the pitch at times though first 15mins against spurs and second half against Bournemouth come to mind.
  5. You got lucky then I tried but I have to wait until sunday
  6. I think so. I mean I like going to the football so its not the only reason I get a ST but I'll be honest the cup games are extra expense on top of a ST and I was determined to do all the Europa home games so the other cups lost out. If there was no Europa I might have done a cup game or two but knowing I get a first dib on a cup final is certainly factored in to my consideration to purchase a ST.
  7. Not really I have a ST and chose not to go to cup games other than Europa this season could have gone didn't. Now I'm jumping all over it like a plastic glory hunter....but hey that's one of the reasons to get a ST.
  8. I'm not naming anyone getting pulled in by the police for things said online doesn't appeal....rumours are it happened to someone on here.....
  9. I haven't. I'm a glory seeking plastic haven't done a single cup match (other than Europa) this season luckily I'm a ST holder so I can get mine this weekend.....I feel a little bit guilty but not to much.
  10. Oh juicy.... So which footballers forced a transfer this window.....
  11. For those wanting Berahino... lucky escape? http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/saido-berahino-banned-for-failing-drug-test-while-at-west-brom-according-to-reports/ar-AAmz9hj?li=AA572I&ocid=spartandhp
  12. I don't know but I do find the idea of them turning those big guns on Andy Carroll strangely appealing....
  13. Kat's very happy she has her eyes on these Stuart Weitzman’s claim to expensive shoe fame doesn’t stop with the Rita Hayworth Heels. He is also the creator of another million-dollar pair, $ 2 million to be exact. The*Tanzanite Heels from Stuart Weitzman*is made out of silver leather as well as a platinum framing decked in tanzanite gems and diamonds. The heels’ front straps have 28 carats of diamonds, while the ankle bracelets are adorned with just under 200 carats of tanzanite gems as well as 16 carats of various gems. However, the heels of this pair, with 595 diamond carats, are the real show-stoppers.
  14. So two mistakes, you can think of, in three games makes him dodgy? Most of our CBs make a couple of those sort of **** ups in a game. Look he is young and no VVD (but who is) but he looks a decent prospect and right now we have no choice but to use him so I hope everyone gets behind him and cuts him a bit of slack when he makes the inevitable mistakes a young player just breaking into a PL first team makes.
  15. McQueen is pretty decent going forward though much better than Targett
  16. Both defences look a bit dodgy so winning midfield is going to be the key. If we can cut off the supply to Carroll our defence might have a chance same at the other end the likes of Boufal, Sims, Remond or Long Should cause Fonte and Reid all sorts of problems with their pace.
  17. I typed Chinese defenders into google and got this.... mind you one of those on the edge of our area might be quite effective...
  18. Its not CBs we need to worry about we still have 3 fit ones who can do a job with a decent defensive midfielder in front of them yet we only have one proper DM in the squad we lose Romeu and we really are ****ed..
  19. I wouldn't even go to games I'd tell Kat I had some leads on some quality footballers in Bermuda or St Kitts and party myself stupid on club expenses....
  20. Would be the same Watford that just beat Arsenal and the Westbrom that are having their best season in years..... Sunderland I'll give you they are turd....
  21. Looking on KUMB it seems like both saints and WHU fan are very pessimistic about their teams these days. Both sets of fans suffering from having good league seasons, when some of the big boys had an off season, and now struggling to adjust to the fact that we are actually both pretty bang average? Still in the spirit of things we'll lose to a Carroll goal before he gets injured celebrating and doesn't play again this season having got his obligatory goal against saints.
  22. January transfer window: Winners and losers http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/january-transfer-window-winners-and-losers/ss-AAmuwfd?ocid=spartandhp#image=11 No.11 Loser: Jose Fonte Jose Fonte put in a transfer request at Southampton with the common consensus being that he had his eye on a move to a Champions League side, or Manchester United. Well, he’s ended up at West Ham, a team who look worse than Southampton and by leaving, he will miss out on playing in a League Cup final.
  23. Lets hope he is this bad come the weekend
  24. Agent Fonte strikes...
