  1. Did he just come on here read all that and tweet it?
  2. Is he any worse than Janssen...but yeah if his ony goal is regular football spurs would be a bad move.
  3. Palace do like to splash the cash doesn't ever seem to do them much good though.
  4. Tbh I've been calling for a new striker for ages not because I felt we were short of numbers but because none of ours have been very good this season.

    Lawro

Yeah but as soon as he does that we normally go onto lose... I don't really care but his justifications are usually bizarre "insert team of choice hasn't lost a game in ten, scored thirty goals in the last five games and not conceded in eight games so they're due a loss."
  6. If they are looking at the Liverpool game they would be signing another DM in case Romeu gets injured rather than a CB....
  7. Before Austin got injured quite a few posters were happy to get rid of Jrod. I'd be inclined to keep him, play him see if his form improves, and then decide on his future in the summer depending on how he has done. I can see him going though if we have this new bloke from Italy, Long and Jrod and now only one game a week two of them are going to be unhappy with their game time.
  8. this one?
  9. and all paid about 77 quid a week to do it...
  10. Didn't he get injured against Liverpool? I thought JWP and Jrod both picked up knocks in that game.
  11. He is lucky he is still able to play at all I'd be pretty ****ed if that was his attitude considering everything the club has done for him.
  12. We cant afford to let Jrod go as we don't have the numbers and he is just starting to find a bit of form. In the summer I could see it happening but not in Jan surely?
  13. Found another one FA cup game. Saints cruising end up drawing 3-3 seems somethings never change York City 3 Southampton 3 - 23.01.71 Interesting to see players playing the ball back to the keeper to pick up (when did the back pass rule come in?) and players standing on the keeper to stopping him kicking the ball out something I remember from my youth but you don't see much in games now. Love the York ground to looks like they are playing on a sandpit/mud bath hybrid surrounded by a garden fence
  14. I didn't blimey must have hands of stone. I work outside for a living and if I whack an extremity like a hand or finger in cold weather it hurts like hell so god knows what stopping a hard struck football with bare hands in sub zero temperatures felt like.
  15. Second Wolves v Southampton, 9th October 1971. Interesting reffing decisions two indirect free kicks (can't remember the last time I saw one of those) including one for a foul in the box anyway some might find them interesting
  16. Bit bored tonight so I've been on youtube and came across a couple of videos very old saints games. Considering both these games were played before I was even a twinkle in my parents eyes I found them quite interesting and amusing and thought I'd share. I'm sure some the old boys on here might even remember the original games First up Arsenal boxing day 1970-71 season. Epic game from the saints keeper but those wintery conditions wow
  17. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38788778 Liverpool have arranged for a private jet to fly striker Sadio Mane back from the Africa Cup of Nations to give him a chance of facing Premier League leaders Chelsea at Anfield on Tuesday. Doesn't make Klopp look desperate at all....
  18. I look forward to the Forster letting in a goal while he is distracted spraying on a can of Sure for the cameras during a live TV game:p
  19. I thought this guy was a second string player who spends most of his time getting splinters in his arse? Wouldn't this be like our fans getting upset with Clasie being sold?
  20. I think Puel would have got more out of him than Koeman.
  21. https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-01-30/nathan-redmond-vauxhall-england-u21-player-of-the-year Beat JWP into to second place...
  22. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/583332/Dimitri-Payet-West-Ham-transfer-news-Marseille So Payet got his move player power rules these days.
  23. Koeman is the master of spin
