  1. The problem with Davis is he ain't getting any younger and we really don't have anyone else to play in his normal position other than Mane (who is off) or JWP (who isn't up to it) we really need to buy at least one younger player who can play that position if he is better than Davis and can bring a few goals to the team that would be great.
  2. When Oxo was here he played as a winger/wide midfielder which is supposedly what Mane is. I don't see oxo as a central midfielder he certainly hasn't shined as one at Arsenal he has all the assets to be played in a similar role to Mane.
  3. Shane benefiting from the Southampton way......
  4. Sounds about right. For me the disappointing ones are the academy boys the likes of OX, Chambers and Shaw it would be nice if we got to see a bit more of those types of players before they moved on. In reality though football is incredibly transient these days with regards to players and managers. A third top 8 finish in a row, despite losing all these irreplaceable players and mangers, should imo breed a bit of confidence into our support rather than the now annual summer meltdown.
  5. yeah he was the victim of the five at the back period, which turned out to be pretty inspired by Koeman because it got us out of a hole and kick started a decent second half to the season, where their was just no room for Tadic.
  6. Nope I want spurs to win tonight I want us to be the ones to stop them winning the league.....
  7. LOL this thread is comedy gold
  8. pffft yeah they bravely held off all those huge bids for their players.... be interesting to see if they hold onto Kante and Marhez this summer.
  9. Pretty sure that crackpot theory is basically in batman's imagination. Koeman has constantly proved he is prepared to chop and change the matchday 11 to suit the opposition
  10. Which has to be balanced by the club making sure they don't leave on a free. It's not as easy as tying them down they both know they are wanted by other clubs with much deeper pockets than Southampton. Those two will be gone this summer people need to deal with it.
  11. but they will meltdown part 3
  12. In fairness in between the two hat-tricks he went on a rather long goal drought in the league the lasted the best part of four months.
  13. errr joke........... sorry sarcasm doesn't work well on the interwebby
  14. Apart from his part in city's first goal....
  15. Cuco cost less than Sterling's little toe not the worlds best defender but decent enough going forward considering his cost. I do wonder if we will see another RB in the summer though I had high hopes for Cedric but the manager seems to have other ideas.
  16. first hit on goggle provided this... Think she would look good in a saints shirt personally
  17. Just goes to show on it's day this team and squad are ****ing good if only we were consistent. Shame we let them score 2 (both of which seemed soft) but beating Man city 4-2 I'll take that every day. Big shout out Tadic I know he gets a lot of grief but when is on form we rock.
  18. Yep today was clearly a "come and get me" plea to Pep.....
  19. Sell Long in January to reinvest? Thank **** we didn't do that.....
  20. Playing well again today.
  21. All set up for us to deny spurs the title with a rout at WHL
  22. Good to see Huth getting a taste of his own then....
  23. Yeah Brighton games were fun always a red card and a bit of needle ...might no be the same, now though, without Gus there. Quite like Norwich to stay up but having the feeling Sunderland will stay up by the skin of their teeth again. As for the others quite like Steve Bruce and Hull (pretty much a nailed on three points) so nice to see them sneak up through the play offs.
  24. Hardly it now makes people think success is a piece of ****. Fans at every mid-table/lower league PL club are going to point to Leicester's achievement and demand their club does the same as if Leicester had some special plan to win the league. Personally I think the status quo will be back in the PL next season and it will be another fifteen years before we see another Leicester but the instant success fans at a lot of clubs are going to use a Leicester sized club to beat their respective clubs for years to come.
  25. To be honest I can't work out how she picks the players...
