Not tiresome at all more an indication of the ridiculous over the top expectations some saints fans have these days. The whole squad has contributed to this season trying single out some players as not contributing is bollix IMO. No one was complaining before Christmas when he was banging in goals.

And yet we are having our best PL season ever.......

Neither are exactly top top strikers either J-rod had one good season (his second Pelle is still in his first season) and Lambert while an absolute legend IMO is hardly in the same bracket as Costa, Klinsman or Shearer.

What young and unproven in the PL like Mane?

It's amazing that this team of losers have managed to get us were we are this season..............

How many top strikers do you think were busting a gut to come to "meltdown saints" last summer? Also we needed bodies last summer if we'd signed one 20 million pound striker, instead of two, and he got injured we'd be worse off than we are now.

Because they all thought we were going to get CL and Morgan ,Toby and Clyne were going to fall over themselves to sign new contracts. It's amazing how short people's memories are last summer most of the same posters would have bitten your hand off for a season like we've had , given the summer exodus, yet as soon as we started doing well they upped their expectations.

People do realise we can't afford a top top striker...don't they? If we could afford a Costa, Augero or Sanchez we'd probably battling it out for 1st place right now. Unless we get lucky and unearth some foreign little gem or someone comes through the academy a 10-12 a goal striker is probably the best we can hope for.

Yep one less relegation place to worry about:D

Actually I think we could do with combining Reed and JWP into one player Reeds tenacity and physicality mixed with JWP technically passing (I've seen JWP rake a ball cross field and drop on a team mates foot several times) would make one hell of a DM

Fair enough maybe they have some other talented players they don't rate that they'd like us to develop for them and we still get 1.5 million for having a class player in our squad for a season not a bad deal really.

I'm I right in thinking Pelle has hit the wood work more this season than an other player in the PL? Small margins a few of those shots are a few inches to the to the side and he bags a few more goals and people don't make a big deal of it. He is a decent PL player and works hard but at the price we paid he was never going to a be a 20+ goals a season player.

Lets see what happens first shall we? Last summer everyone said we were screwed and we're actually doing better than last season. Until we know who the replacements are any pronouncements of doom are a bit premature.......

While I'd love him to stay if he goes I think the club still did well with this loan. We got a quality CB for a season to help us push for Europe and if his parent club won't sell him to us we get 1.2 million in cash add in the extra money for a high league placing that he helped us achieve and Saints still come out of this whole deal ahead IMO.

He's too weak and midfielders should get "stuck in " regularly, and expect cards. To get a card he'd probably have to actually tackle somebody.....

Maybe JWP is a late bloomer but isn't he about the same age as Kane, Sterling, Shaw and Barkley all who look streaks ahead of him in terms of their footballing careers. Watching the game last night the difference between JWP and Ross Barkley is quite pronounced for two players who play a similar position. I think JWP is quite good technically but he needs to be far more physical and make better decisions on the pitch to real push on to the next level.

Italy were decent 1st half but have gone down hill. England have got better (not much of achievement considering how bad they started)

Still think England would benefit from Cork playing at DM (not that it will ever happen)

Clyne has been dog turd tonight Pelle pretty darn good. Italy look a class above England so far.

Don't think so. If anything being "One of our own" probably means he gets better support, from our fans, even when he is having a mare.
