I kind of agree the time to offer him a new contract was last season when he came into the side and put in great performances week after week. That he wants to go now can't be a big surprise I doubt he feels particularly valued by the club.

We hope. We have three very good and experienced defensive midfielders at the club by the summer we may well be looking to replace all three. It will be a very tall order to replace all three of those with better players.

Liverpool allegedly want to sign him now and the loan him back to Burnley for the rest of the season.....That makes no sense to me at all why bother?

Neither Davis or JWP are defensive midfielders. Anyone who wants to see JWP trying to be protect our back four must have a screw loose..... . We play two DMs and have four on the books with Jack gone we will have three two of which we will, most likely, struggle to hold onto in the summer. I guess defensive midfielders will be high on the buying list this summer lets hope we can find and bring three in to the club.

5th? we only have 4 DM's that I'm aware of (unless like several others you want to play Attacking midfielders as DMs) and two of those will likely be gone in the summer. I find it funny that people think he is not good enough for us yet Swansea basically the sort of club we are competing with (despite what MLG thinks) is begging to take him.

Really? I'd have him in front of Reed myself (at the moment Reed is deffo one for the future). Also as the last two seasons have proved we rarely have everyone fit plus Morgan is gone this summer and most likely Victor will be to IMO.

I'm struggling to believe that Cork is asking for the same wages as international superstar Wesley Sneijder. Also Cork is what 25? at the peak of his career physically Sneijder is already turned 30 so is on the road down career wise if we need to replace Cork I'd rather we looked for someone younger. Finally why do people want to play Davis (can do a job though not great) or JWP (more powder puff than my 9 year old daughter) as one of our two DMs and not play a decent DM in Cork? Granted if Cork is off to Swansea he won't play this weekend anyway.

That's the issue though isn't it we need quality squad players if we really want to move up a level. You quite often look at the big boys match day bench and think wow the saints match day bench can be a little ..err underwhelming. Keeping hold of quality squad players is something the club needs to do if it can.

I like Jack I think some people are being pretty unfair on him. Last season when big Vic was injured Jack came in and played well (so much so he frequently end up the MOM poll winner on here). This season he has barely had a look in so I can see why he'd want to move. Personally I think we will lose both Morgan and Victor in the summer so keeping Jack should be a priority we could end up having a completely new set of DMs next season.

except you can bet your bottom dollar if Cork goes we will buy/loan a replacement (most likely someone from the dutch league). I like Harrison Reed but so far he only seems to have been played as a last resort when RK as out of options.
