WHU fans views. In among the "hope we smash those ****s!" comments it's interesting to see the divide between those who think the FA cup is more important than the league (and vice verse). More than happy for them to put out a weakend team on Wednesday in preparation for the FA cup game (not sure big Sam rolls like that TBH) http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=156989&sid=33557abe3f18724d47ade462061980ad

I love our Goal Difference column this season +21 is third best in the league only two behind city, better than Arsenal and Man U and Spurs and Liverpool have a GD of only +6. Our GD could make all the difference if the top sides stay this tight for the rest of the season.
-
Well I'm guessing they're are looking for an experienced PL manager (ideally one who hasn't been relegated) I'm not sure Nigel really ticks that box.
-
The lack of spending from Burnley suggests, to me, they didn't expect to stay up this season (though I'm sure they'll take it if they do) but where happy to take the extra cash and the parachute payments and plan for an immediate return to the championship given that I doubt Dyche was under any pressure at all.

Probably trying to beat QPR to Sherwood.........................or maybe 'arry makes a remarkable medical recovery . TBF they're isn't a lot of obvious managerial choices available of the top of my head...
-
I'll take that result still 3rd with Morgan and Victor back I think we have a decent chance at home against WHU.
-
Think I'd prefer Janmaat from Newcastle.

Calum Chambers move to Arsenal to be investigated

I suppose it's to much to hope that Arsenal have done something dodgy and have to be deducted 10pts as a punishment -
Poch takes credit for Koemans work this season

Interesting though that Pardew has been a PL manager ever since leaving us (including a 5th place finish) and Nigel is errr........... unemployed. Think Nigel is a legend but the idea he is a better manager than Pardew doesn't really hold much water when you compare their careers. -
Of course but I make no bones about being a hypocrite on this subject. I want every player saints sell to be for more money than he is worth and every player we buy to be an under priced bargain....why would any saints fan want different? With the greatest respect to Feyenoord, or any other club, I'm only interested in saints doing well so why would I care if they are not happy?
-
Doubt any offence was meant it's just the way things are in modern football we make offers for players as low as we think we can get away with while demanding top dollar for our own players every club is the same if they are honest. Do Feyenoord always pay the asking price for players they buy? Do they not start with a low offer when looking to buy a player?

Now a target for Man city (allegedly) for someone who people say isn't good enough for us he seems to be getting linked with some big clubs http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-city-weighing-up-summer-8574251?

QPR fans http://www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/showthread.php?186013-Redknapp-resigns/page3 Saturday will be buzzing now... We've got our Rangers back!! Yep reckon there will be a new air of optimism about the place. Am really looking forward to Saturday now. Can we prove we really are all in it together. Sounds like their fans will be well up for it now was hoping they'd be right on their teams back for this game.

Article from the bbc on the transfer window http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31051012 this bit was interesting (I thought) What happened to all the strikers? Strikers - the players to save you from relegation or to kick-start a flagging bid for European qualification. Everyone wants to sign one, right? On the evidence of this window, that is either not true or goalscorers are not readily available. Only eight of the 35 players signed by Premier League clubs in January were strikers and three of them were signed by Crystal Palace. However, while more players from other positions were signed, clubs were less inclined to take a risk with their attacking recruits, opting for experience rather than youth, with the average age of strikers signed significantly higher than that of defenders or midfielders. Sunderland and Crystal Palace brought in seasoned Premier League campaigners in 33-year-olds Jermain Defoe and Shola Ameobi respectively, while Manchester City made arguably the biggest move of the window by signing Wilfried Bony, 26, from Swansea.

Good stuff Ryan is quality.
-
What talent? he scored 3 ****ing goals in half a season. Pelle has got more talent than Osvaldo in his little toe.
-
Think Ryan is great but come on I want something that makes me go WTF! ............ the return of Bale in a swap deal for Mayuka would be good:D
-
There are two Pelles the one the holds the ball up well (Who I like) and the one who thinks "This little flick on will look so coooool if it comes off" (who I'm not so keen on)

from the BBC Former England and Man City winger Trevor Sinclair Saints need to strengthen Posted at 15:21 "I think if Southampton have real aspirations of finishing in the top four they need to strengthen. They need another forward and to make sure the players they have already got don't go anywhere, because there have been rumours about a few of them. "But because of their recruitment policy - and the fact they are so well-organised and don't usually leave things till the last day - I'm not so sure they will ... and for me, because of that, I don't think they'll finish in the Champions League places."
-
Don't think we would have let Cork go if we were planning to let Morgan go in this window.....
-
True but I wouldn't want the club to panic buy crap (and the Jan window always feels a bit like panic buying especially on deadline day) isn't the general rule to buy better than you've already got?
-
If this Djuricic bloke is better than JWP or Davis then I'm all for it. (Though in fairness I know nothing about Djuricic)
-
At the moment he is the first choice (only proper) DM. I think I'd rather the club had let Cork go on a free in the summer and kept him for the rest of the season than let him go now. I mean even if he only featured for a few more games an experienced DM in those games might be the difference between CL and no CL Corks transfer fee is paltry compared to the CL money.
