After reading this in Ralph's Sky interview maybe Ralph is a manager who prefers a smaller squad you get the feeling he is using this window to weed out those elements of the squad that don't fit for him. "It's a package. If you find a young player who has potential and quality then we'll think about a transfer. The more important thing in this transfer period is to give players away, to have a committed group that is not too big." Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Me to voted Tory all my adult life bar a brief flirtation with the liberals at the last GE but they can **** right off now. Don't really know where that leaves me the liberals are a busted flush, I won't vote for the current incarnation of the Tory party and I'd rather eat my own testicles than vote for a Corbyn run Labour party.... Matt Targett - Joins Aston Villa (Official)
doddisalegend replied to Kaiser Soze's topic in The Saints
It's a bit disingenuous the only reason he is a key part is because our first choice left back has been out injured. Unlike the CB position where there really wasn't an obvious first choice as they had all been gash for sometime at LB Targett wasn't playing because their was a clearly better player in front of him one. If Bertrand comes back fit and with the right attitude I can see Targett heading back to the bench) Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk -
All very interesting still don't know what any of that has to do with a prominent leave campaigner deciding he'd rather live in a country that will continue to follow the laws of the EU he doesn' think his own country should be part off? whether you like the term "right" or not he has the "right" to live in France as an EU citizen something he seems happy to do. No I figured Lord D would have Cecil Rhodes down as one of his great Anglo Saxon heroes..and would prefer it to Zimbabwe. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I think the club have been pretty upfront about it but people still seem surprised. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Doubt we will ever play a team as inept as that Sunderland side ever again [emoji3] Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Do you think Brits have the right to go live in Africa if they prefer it to the UK? Are you specifically talking about black Africans for some reason I imagine you wouldn't be bothered by a nice white Afrikaner from Rhodesia moving in down the road from you... Though last time I checked Africa isn't part of the EU so I'm not really sure how that is relevant to a European moving to live in another European country like our Brexit loving chum Lawson. A lot of the Brexiteers I know would be happy to bin off Scotland so I would assume they would probably happily bin off Northern Ireland back to the Republic. They would all identify as English rather than British though a Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish Brexiteer might have a different outlook. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I'm not overly bothered I just take saintsweb threads for what they are if they stay on track for more than 10 posts they are doing well. Just seems to me judging by the endless complaints about the thread derailing some people just want a rumours links only thread with little or no discussion. Either way it's not up to me. Never had you down as supporter of the idea that Europeans from one country should have the right to go and live in a different European country if they prefer it to their own.... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

There isn't any transfer news that's why these threads end up like this. It would probably better if we had two threads one to discuss stuff ( on the understanding it will most likely be full of crap) and a another thread which is only press links/ rumours and actual club press statements with no discussions. So people could discuss why we need a striker, haven't spent any money, Puel etc on the discussion thread. People who just want to look at transfer news could have all the links in one thread to just look at. More work for the mods mind to keep the links only thread clean. True but I'm feeling a lot more confident that we will be fine come the end of the season than I was when Hughes was still here. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Nice little factoid I just read "Clubs to have taken more points than Southampton since Ralph Hasenhuttl sat on the bench for the first time: Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester City." Good job Ralph Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Why do you think Ralph wants to play 4-2-2-2 long term, I realize this was a favoured formation in his previous job, but has actually said that's his long term plan? It seems to me 3-4-3 works well for us with the players we have and can be improved with just a couple of new players rather than a large squad overhaul I much prefer three at the back to two. So you knew what the deal between the EU and the UK looked like when you voted leave before any deal had been negotiated? That's impressive can I have next week's lotto numbers. The first refferendum was flawed for the public to be properly informed a leave deal should have been negotiated first the vote could have been a simple two part vote first leave or remain second if the vote is to leave do you want the deal or no deal. Everyone would have had a better idea what they where voting for then. Both sides lied during the refferendum a lot of those lies would have been exposed if we had negotiated a leave deal first for people to vote on. At the very list we should get a second vote on a deal or no deal rather than leaving it to the charlatans in parliament even if remain isn't added back in to the options. I'll throw a question back at the leavers why are you so scared of another vote? I keep hearing it would be the death of democracy how so? If we have another vote and leave wins happy days for you if leave losses than the public have changed their mind either way democracy wins so you are in a win win situation. The only reason to not want another vote is you're scared you'd lose it.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Behave plenty of the usual suspects on here still can't admit he has improved this season and when they do it's begrudging stuff.

Says the guy who has just used one straight out of the football clichés play book...

Thank god all the other players in the squad make the right decision all the time eh? its such a weird thing to say loads of our players play the wrong ball, play loose passes or try to over complicate things at times its not really criticism that should be levelled at Redmond alone.
-
A great signing if he carries on like this he is going to have been a real bargain to boot. Rapidly becoming our best CB amazing to think he couldn't even get a game under Hughes.

yes I don't want to have to see, the very right footed, Cedric trying to play left wing back again.
