Not that I don't agree with your post................... but is this becoming the forums favourite new word or something?
-
Rather a subjective subject though...........or would you like the club to phone you and ask for your list of acceptable players. Clearly Koeman rates him and thinks he can do a job which makes him a decent signing in my eyes.

Sergio Agüero, Messi, Bale, and kompany...............

Poll. Can Saints replace our players this Summer?
doddisalegend replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
last I remember Ralph (or maybe Les) said we still harboured ambitions of European football I don't think they put a time limit on it though. Maybe the club needs to take a step back before taking two steps forward we came a long way in five years at some point the upward trajectory the club has been on was going to slow down, or even go backwards a bit, doesn't mean that's the end but it does probably mean things will move slower than we've got used to the last few years. -
Nathan Dyer or Nathan Redmond wouldn't be bad IMO or maybe Saido Berahino at West brom

Thanks Saintrobbie I've feeling a bit depressed right now but that real made me:lol::lol: -
Are you really comparing the managerial records of this guy with this guy? The circumstances at the club between the two couldn't be more different either.
-
I love the way people assume it is easy to sell a football club to a good, mentally stable, free with their money rich owner............
-
I would hold off making any definite predictions until I know what the team actually looks like come the end of the transfer window. However I still think there will be plenty of teams who struggle more than us this coming season we might not finish as high up as last season but even without Morgan and Lovern I could still see us in mid table Victor, Jack Cork and Steven Davis is still a decent midfield Fonte , Yoshida and Clyne isn't a horrible defence.
-
See when you look at like that I wonder how many clubs/fans in the English leagues would like to be in our position. Seems to me as fans it might pay to be a little more grateful for what our club has than crying over what it doesn't have.
-
Sounds great (though don't they always in these sort of articles?). I'd Just like to see some players coming into the club right now to help alleviate the disappointment of players going out.
-
Ok tell me how it really is. Say Liverpool didn't come in for Lambert but still wanted Adam can you really see Adam saying " well it's a shot at the big time Rickie and a big pay raise as well......but if you're staying mate then so I'm I".
-
I doubt it I'm sure they're all mates but would you turn down a new, better, job with a big pay rise somewhere else because a work mate had decided to stay at your current company?...............no me neither
-
Selling players who don't want to be here for good money is in all likelihood (despite being very sad and a bit depressing) in the best interests of the club. Would you rather we had a team of players all agitating for a move away and not giving a f uck or new players out to prove themselves and grateful to SFC for the chance to play in the PL? Almost every club in the world is a selling club at the right price unless you think saints is somehow on par with Barca and Real Madrid?

Well said.

[Daily Mail] Saints make formal enquiry to sign Danny Ings
doddisalegend replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Exactly we will be quids in when we sell him to Liverpool for three times as much in a couple of seasons time. -
Not that I'm disagreeing with most of what you say ........but it feels like a load of saints fans are just waking up to the fact that this is how the PL is. It was just the same last time we where here. It's not just the PL every league has haves and have nots we where the wealthy big club and acted just the same (along with Norwich and Leeds) in league 1 did we not?

Like who? who are these top level, experienced, players gaging to come to saints? -
yeah this. We, the fans, should buy KL out and have the fans run the club then we could see real ambition we could keep all our best players, sell our crap ones for loads of money, while putting massive bids in for the top teams best players all while pushing on to win the Champions league running a mid size provincial football club is easy why can't the owners and board do it right morons........... .......mean while back in the real world of modern football
-
err a big pay raise at a bigger club that can offer more opportunities than saints. Simple really. No amount of hot air about ambitions for Europe from the club is going to compete with a big wedge of cash and the chance to play in Europe right now.
-
yep
-
You think Koeman signed up to see the whole team sold off and be given 30 million to replace it........... Also if they just wanted to play for Mopo why have two players gone to Liverpool and one to Man U wouldn't they want moves to spurs?
-
Poch would have been sacked for failing to meet NCs target of a top four finish (NC had according to Blackmore already threatened to sack mopo once and their relationship was apparently frosty). NC said himself in his interview after leaving saints that he only had one serious official offer for a saint player and that was Oxo............. who left. People can try hiding in a fantasy worlds were NC stayed and all was well, but it's just that a fantasy, after our finish last season with so many players playing well we were always going to get mugged by the bigger clubs this close season. Players are being offered more money to play at a higher level than Saints there is nothing we can do to compete with that.
-
How have the board created a situation were players want to move to bigger clubs for more money and European football?
-
Jesus Christ do we have to put up with this crap every time we sell a player:mcinnes:. Yes it's all very upsetting that all these players didn't want to spend their entire career at saints but that's football. The club are doing their best in difficult circumstances. Circumstances that NC never had to face. So the club may have to take a step back to take two steps forward but until the season is well underway we won't know how all this is going to work out.
