Dusan Tadic - DONE DEAL, official and everything
doddisalegend replied to S-Clarke's topic in The Saints
Well I would have preferred him to say that he spent last season wishing he was playing for saints...................... Well happy with this just getting a player coming in has lifted the gloom a bit. Sounds (and from the few the video clips I've seen) like a very good signing hopefully he will be and excellent replacement for Lallana. -
I would imagine that the relationship between the club and Lovern is pretty screwed up by now. I'm not convinced that if we forced him to stay we would see the same player from last season. I'd be happy to see the back of him even if his replacement isn't quite as good. A slighty less quaility player who wants to be here and with a good work ethic will be more use to the team than Lovern not making the effort becuase he has a cob on with the club IMO.
-
if I was her I'd be more worried that my hubby likes to go naked swimming with other men.......... maybe that's why Lovern wants to leave is Stevie G a big fan of skinny dipping with dudes?

Good thing about saintsweb is when all the crap at the club gets a bit depressing somone will cheer me up with a god LOL post:lol::lol:

Hopefully we will see Lovern and Lallana sitting on the bench for a newly promoted Norwich team in a couple of seasons then.... -
So do we have an arsehole list for the saints 2nd PL stint... Osvaldo Lovern anyone else?

Now it all becomes clear Liverpool pay us loads of money so we can nick all Everton's transfer targets............. -
I'm living in hope that we will have new manager syndrome on our side and destroy Liverpool in their own backyard (before losing meekly to West Brom at home). At the rate Liverpool are signing players they will have more new players than us which, people keep telling me on here, will destroy their team morale and mean they will need time to gel:D
-
I find it very hard to believe that if the board had told them we still wanted CL football and would buy some new quaility players that those leaving/wanting to leave would have happily stayed. Why stay at saints earning less and hoping for CL football in the future when you can just go to Liverpool (or even Man U were you are going to see CL far sooner than at saints) and get it right now. All this board lacks ambition crap is a smoke screen to help get a move. We can't compete with the likes of Liverpool and Man U it's s hit but there it is. Every club below us in the PL would have the same problem holding on to their players (if they had any players the big clubs actually wanted)
-
This ^^^ Mopo, Adam, Lovern, Shaw and possibly even Lambert had all made up their minds about leaving before the season had even ended none of them even wanted to find the clubs plans before they had decided to leave but lack of ambition makes a grand excuse. Sadly I think this is a case of money talks and bull s hit walks.

In light of the last few weeks looks like you might have been a lot closer to the truth than even you thought when you wrote this Turkish
-
C unt would love the club to make him rot training with the under 12s for the rest of his contract.
-
Except for that to happen the player has to believe that the club would accept offers for him....which they won't because of us knocking back their big moves. You ever worked with people who don't want to be at their work place? They just go through the motions ****ing everyone around them off times that by four or five people and we would have **** team morale. Osvaldo is an excellent example of a player not wanting to be somewhere going through the motions and bringing the whole team down with his antics.
-
So you think they would have just carried on happily, Lovern and Lallana both refusing to play, if we just told all those players they weren't going anywhere....dream on.
-
All that proves is we hand a handful of good players to compete for CL you need a whole squad of good players we would never have kept hold of the good players long enough to build a squad good enough to break top four. Sad but that is the reality of the PL we had our best every PL season and our players still want to leave. I think those of us who always knew top 4/CL was bollix are handling the currently situation a lot better than those who bought into the saints in the CL fantasy.
-
While keeping them all at the club *****ing and moaning, bringing the rest of the team down, while putting in half the effort (as you do when you are unhappy in your job) would have been a much better idea would it? the club are screwed which ever way they jump. Keep all the want away players and they end up with a toxic dressing room which probably see us relegated. Sell the best players and lose the quality in the squad and see us struggling against relegation. Basically welcome to the modern PL this is what everyone was desperate for back in league 1, now you've got the dream, you have to live with the realities of it.
-
Though in the last two seasons we had a manager in place and no world cup. Having to go out and find a new manager and coaching staff would have had to be the 1st priority over players I would have thought so that has probably put the timetable, re player signings, at the club back a couple of weeks I reckon.
-
So you'd want us to put out a 1st 11 that has 5 players who don't want to play for saints and are agitating for a move bringing the rest of the team down with them I can imagine how toxic that dressing room would be.

Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m
doddisalegend replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Your sources are most likely the same as Weston's and the Vman...........the piece in the Echo, the Liverpool interview, the leaked stuff to Adam Blackmore, the signing of a Liverpool shirt and Guan's info (which he admitted had to be taken as the clubs side of the story) are enough to have soured Adams affinity with Southampton for me. Compare it with the way Lambert handled his move, polar opposites, I think it's clear that most saints fans feel the same. -
Saints reject bid from Cardiff for José Fonte
doddisalegend replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
If he sees Cardiff as a better prospect than saints I really will start to worry.......... -

I think we can all agree on one thing, in light of what has happened, Adam lacks class......... -
Yes but if we had signed just one quality player, despite the world cup and the new manager only starting work this week, they would have all happily stayed ................................
