Is this a little dig at Pochetino from Cork?

But Mopo said they couldn't be played together........... -
Saints reject bid from Cardiff for José Fonte

I wonder if Jose will go on strike to engineer his dream move to Wales...... -
but a concrete offer has yet to materialise. watch the player change his mind if a concrete offer does come in.............

That would relay on the teams above us not getting any better. Do you really think the teams above us wouldn't strengthen, with better players than we could afford or attract, in the following seasons? The gap with the teams above wouldn't close unless we really spent massive amounts of money and could somehow attract real quality players that would normally go to CL clubs.

Stop with the facts already..............this is about dreams:lol:

Seeing as Mopo was the driving force behind Osvaldo coming to the club and NC (allegedly) tried to flog Lambert to WHU I'm not sure Lambert was one of the special ones. Lovern and Shaw for sure. I figured Lallana as well but Guan claimed that Lallana was subbed so often last season because he wasn't following Mopo's instructions so now I'm not so sure. -
Well clearly but I was talking about the centre midfield being good enough for the PL.

Legend for me ..........Rickie Lambert that is not Saint Charlie

No that will be melmacian saint........... -
Sadly I don't think it was just some of the players that bought into the "Dream" clearly some of our more fantasist fan base did to. Those fans are suffering badly and struggling to come to terms with what's happening at the club right now. I'd have some sympathy with them..........except most of them are acting like spoilt kids, who didn't get the christmas present they wanted, at the moment.

Maybe. After Mopo left there where rumours that not all the players felt part of Mopo's set up and he only communicated to them through the other coaching staff. Prehaps a few of the players not in the last managers group of favoured players are enjoying having someone else in charge. -
Really? it's the same midfield as last season minus Morgan who wasn't a prolific scorer of goals or asists either. All the pressure was on the strikers to score last season(counting Lallana as an attacker rather than a midfielder seeing as played most of the time as part of a front three) and we did ok. Like I said we need attacking options but I think our midfield even without Morgan is decent for the PL .

Like it. Great to see stripes back instead of some sort of dodgy Liverpool kit.
-
Thing is what else are the club going to do? Even if the club plays hardball and Lovern relentes and plays he is unlikely to give his best all the while probably dragging down the rest of the squad with his negativity (anyone who has had to work with an unhappy work college will know what I mean). Is it worth keeping any of these want away players around if they are just going to drag the team down? I'd rather play a committed acadmey player than a good player going through the motions. While I'd be happy to see the club lay down a marker and force him to see out his contract in the development squad I think the club. probably correctly, would rather have the money.
-
I still think a midfield of Cork, Victor and Davis with JWP, Gaston and Reed as options is more than acceptable for the PL. We need replacements at the back and front
-
See this is why we have so many upset fans who seem to be handling the current situation so badly. There really does seem to be a large minority who believe we were destined to break in to the PL Elite and that teams like Liverpool where now saints rivals after one season of finishing 8th....it seems NCs little promises where lapped up by more than just a few of the players. I really don't think Brendan Rodgers sat down and thought lets buy up saints best players to f uck'em over he wanted good players to increase the size of his squad given next seasons CL games. Sadly for saints we had good players and Liverpool are a big club in Europe. While some fans hold on to NCs pipe dream that we were on the verge of something big they are just going to be unhappy it's a new era we just need to sell on those players (on our terms) not wanting to stay and build a new team for the new era...I'm actually getting a little excited about the re-building job now.

At Liverpool or Man U...............
-
He can't play for anyone else unless we let him. If the club could afford it (which they probably can't) they should just treat him like they did Jonthan Forte or Lee Barnard (except neither of those two did anything wrong) and just let him rot wasting the best years of his career seeing out his contract. Won't happen of course.
-
If none of those guys are starters next season I'll be shocked. We need to bring enough new players just to replace the out going one and shoring up last seasons weak spots in the squad. I don't think we can start replacing the proven players who are staying as well.
-
That link should be posted every time some **** demands that KL sells the club just to show that we are pretty lucky with our owner.
-
All fair comment. How are your clubs finances? my understanding was Feyenoord have had it tough financially the last few years so perhaps we err... stole one of your players because your club needs the money?
-
Steven Davis for me Captain of his national side, would lead by example and comes across in interviews as the sort of person the rest of the squad would listen to IMO.
-
Did you just diss your partner in misery Charlie? If Charlie finds you negative Dig you really have plumed new depths don't worry I guess Alps will be along in a minute to back you up diggers.
-
We really weren't but if you felt we were everything that happens now will be a let down for you............
-
I think that's the problem some saints fans just don't get. They can't understand why our best players want to leave us for bigger clubs and they can't understand why we aren't replacing our best players with even better players it's like the last 20 years of the PL have passed them by.
