RK - We are not Man city.......

Adam and Luke at least pretty much admitted they decided they wanted to leave before last season even ended.

I'd love to be able to afford an ST for next season regardless of the team. Really I just want to go down SMS on a Saturday and watch 11 blokes in Saints shirts giving it a good go. I can't believe anyone every started supporting saints for the glory and saints have been in far worse positions than the current one. Maybe I'm older but even the thought of relegation really doesn't bother me. Hell I'd watch saints in non-league if ever got that bad clearly other people will haven't different pain thresholds to me.

No ****ing difference at all Arsenal are a big club our position really is no stronger against them this time than it was the other times. Do you really think Chambers thinks he is incapable of getting into the arsenal 1st team you might but I bet he doesn't. Why T wats like you continue to imagine saints can somehow stop players wanting to go to clubs like Arsenal is totally beyond me.
-
I'd agree with that

Interesting comment from Pardew Southampton's summer departures offer a warning of the price clubs can pay for missing out on Europe, according to Newcastle manager Alan Pardew. If you don't make the Champions League, the big teams come for your players," Pardew told BBC Newcastle. "Look at Southampton. We're pushing every year to try to build and hopefully get to a stage where we make it without losing our players." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28483237

I thought the golden rule was first 10 league games....
-
Decent 1st half saints very much in control. Probably need to give Pelle better balls in the box to work with. Tadic, Gaston and Isgrove all looking very good tonight.
-
ooooh close from JWP
-
yeah defence looks a little exposed at least one of Victor/Cork/Morgan sitting in front would probably help that.
-
Isgrove looking very lively so far.
-
Tadic looks excellent so far
-
nice goal by Isgrove.......... saints go a goal up
-
clean slate with Koeman no Mopo to hold him back?
-
I remember them coming to SMS in league one. Got to Southampton central and the station was done up tighter than a virgins pussy by the local plod. All very confusing after the match their fans were marched back to the station under police escort, while giving it the big one, the whole thing was bizzare frankly.

Ahh Felicity in the Good Life my first older woman crush...

Really Hull have Europa league so their squad will be stretched next season and Stoke have just signed a guy who managed 4 goals in 24 apperances playing for the champions in the Eredivisie last season compare that to the new striker we just signed. Newcastle look like they are doing well this transfer window though.
-
From the BBC.....spent last season on loan at Ajax scoring four times in 24 appearances for the Dutch club. kind of interesting comparing Graziano Pelle's record in the same league.
-
It just means we have to accept that we are a stepping stone club. For a club like saints our best bet seems to be unearth good players in the lower leagues or abroad who are cheaper and want to play in the PL and accept that they will go after a couple of seasons if they turn out to be really good. We also need to keep on bringing through the academy boys and accept that the very best ones won't stay long. Buy cheap sell high keeps the club coffers in good order. There will always be decent players who want to come here as long as we are in the PL. Not the top class ones some people fantasied about us getting but still good players.
-
Is it? Liverpool confirm one bid we said no that haven't come back hardly seems done and dusted to me.
-
I imagine our new striker will thrive on that. Will pacey wide players, to get to the by-line and cross, be on our shopping list I wonder.

Jos looks almost embarrassed to score....he is clearly off:(

So why not ***** about once it actually happens rather than last night when nothing actually happened? there is enough stuff that has happened to get upset about rather than getting upset about stuff that hasn't happened yet.
