Players need time FFS most of these players have managed back to back promotions last season...where is the loyalty?. We need to give them at least 10 games and I'd give them until christmas before making changes. Also before anyone suggests getting rid of a player they need to have sensible suggestion for a replacement lined up....... It's not even the players fault there are people telling them how, and where, to play behind the scences like that Crosby guy..........

In fairness whispering Dave mainly talks about having two strikers up front when we are already behind and chasing the game when the sieve like defence has already done the damage and we need to score goals to salvage the game.....

Fair point but actually that "team" doesn't really exsist now. Lots of new faces over the summer. Quite a few old hands shipped out on loan or let go and quite a few players more involved last season now out on the fringes with only cup games to look forward to. Maybe the team spirit that we had the last few seasons just isn't there now?

Exactly were not Man U or Chelsea realisticaly our biggest chance at silverware and a shot at europe is in the cups no reason not to at least give it a go.

So what if Rickie gets injuried 2 miniutes into the West Brom game... same result. No reason not to play players just becuase something might happen. I expected changes to the team but it would have made sense to have some 1st teamers on the bench to bring on if we were losing rather than just kids IMO

They said on Solent last night that the final deiscion on when the match was played was decided by the football league. Saints wanted to play Wednesday Leeds wanted to play tuesday (I think they're playing Friday or something( FL wieghed up the arguments and went with Leeds.

I don't get that argument football players get injuries it happens no reason not to play them...

Actually David last night as I was listening to the Leeds game I thought this just like the good old days crap in the league and knocked out of the cup by a lower league team just how I remember it being last time we were in the top flight...

Reading some posts on here it seems not. Some it seems would rather finish 17th in the PL than actual try and win a trophy. Although judging by yesterdays team selection that includes the club to.......

Yes cause we are just like those teams with our Champions league aspirations and our strength in depth. Why does it have to be cups or League? no reason we can't compete in both the idea that becuase we do well in cup we will get relegated from the PL has no substance

I really don't think having the likes of Adam and Rickie on the bench to bring on as impact subs would have affected the 1st team to much and would have given us a chance at 1-0. Also how is this "them and us" cup and league teams effecting the team as a whole I wonder...

Really so if we get relegated our entire 1st eleven is off and we will not bring in any new players ................

I'm really not bothered the PL offers football fans very little (as expensivley as possible) . Yeah it's great for players, managers and chairmen who love the massive wages and celebraty status....but really for fans of any but 5-6 top sides the PL is just one long painful slog of a season after another knowing you'll never get close to winning the league and won't compete in the cups in an attempt to safe guard the PL millions......

At least they went down fighting to a Pl side....

I give one........I'd rather Saints won some silverware than spend countless seasons just hanging on in the PL so the players can have nice big fat wages which on tonights performance they don't ****ing deserve.
