Losing...give me league f ucking 1 it was more fun than this s hit
-
What the **** has happened to the us over the summer the "winning mentalitly" has f ucked right off hasn't it? Not one shot on target in 90 minutes = Joke Why didn't we play the 1st team and try and get a them back to winning ways?
-
Generally, on here, the rule is to write the game off after we failed to get a result...
-
Fans shouldn't give their own players stick but it happens ...he is a professional footballer if he can't handle it, and ignore it, he is in the wrong job. This sort of crap will only get worse at home the longer our poor run continues.
-
I don't think you'd be alone..........
-
Very true the list of teams we can't/won't/aren't supposed to beat gets longer every week.....
-
Can't remember the last time we scored direct from a free kick I seem to remember (though I could be wrong) Lambert scoring a few his first season with us.
-
Why is it all on the fans? Last time I looked chairmen did the hiring and firing. I blame PL money to be honest the thought of dropping out of the PL and losing the millions that came with it must leave most chairman at PL clubs waking up in a cold sweat at night. the merest hint of relegation gets most chairmen worried. Maybe NC isn't worried and maybe NC doesn't see relegation as an issue...who knows?

Could be worse ...one of us could be Turkish

You'd of thought people would be used to it by now? I stopped listening to them ages ago. I suppose now were losing most of the time people will get a little more annoyed with his after match talk than they did when we were winning most of the time..........Better than having to listen to some gobby **** like Hollaway

What's weird about it? I replied to the 9s post that our current postion is based on having to play lots of good sides. Yet we've haven't done much against the lesser sides either so the whole arguement is flawed IMO. I made no mention of sacking Nigel, and I haven't said I want him sacked, it would be pointless me banding names around other than for a bit of fantasy football (which can be fun but I'm not in the mood today) which makes your question slighty odd considering it had nothing to do with my reply to the 9s post.
-
Why you asking me that's the chairmans job? I just think the whole excuse of having played a lot of the top sides just hides the fact we haven't been very good against the lesser teams either. The whole tough start to the season would be fine if we were getting wins at home to teams like Fulham and Wigan but we're not. It seems the list of teams we aren't allowed to expect a result from grows each week...
-
Exactly and against the lower placed teams we've been great. Against the likes of Wigan, Fulham, Aston villa in the 1st half and Wham (who are likely to be bottom half come the end of the season) we've shown we can compete really well..................

Abusing Lloyd James.........
-
So if you had to make a guess how long do you think the chairman will be happy with our current form?
-
On the other hand the last time our chairman sacked a manager it worked out very well...so based on his own experince he might not feel it's such a bad move....
-
Was it the system that made a difference or just the fact that Mayuka injected some much needed pace and passion that gave our players a boost and worried spurs enough to put them on the back foot?
-
I don't think there is a massive Nigel out group saying that "he might get the sack" isn't the same as saying you "want him to get the sack". Most saints fans are supportive of Nigel but I think a lot realise the nature of modern football is such that 4 points from 24 is the sort of form that gets managers sacked. I'm sure 99% of us want Nigel to turn it round and stay as our manager but all the positive thoughts in the world don't change the fact that Nigels fate isn't down to the fans it's down to the chairman.
-
Not the guy at the chapel end near the burger van always moving around with a good hearty shout. I'm not exactly going to get bent of shape about this whole issue but I'm not keen on the whole building a brand stuff in football it just seems like another step away from football for the common man (or woman) and one more step towards the prawn sandwhich corporate crowd..
-
Surely just like the players you only repalace the manager with someone better? How is the fascist an upgrade on Nigel? Might as well keep Nigel if Di Canio is the replacement...........
-
You're confusing what players and chairman want with what some fans want ...of course players and chairmen want into be in the PL with all it's cash and the chance of massive wages. For some fans the experince of the PL is expensive and not particularly satisfying. Not everyone wants the same thing from football we all go for different reasons. Some like the PL for the bragging rights, the chance to see Rooney in action at SMS or becuase more games are on the TV. Others want things like cheaper tickets, more games, being in a league we could actually win or watching footie at 3 pm on a saturday. There is no right or wrong with this disccussion it depends on what you want from your football.

What have West Ham done thats better than saints? Not let in so many goals.................. -
Where do you think we'd be if Pardew had stayed?
doddisalegend replied to Islander's topic in The Saints
He would have second season in ....I don't think Nigel would have done any better our first season in league one with the -10 and no pre season....
