  1. .....Jason Puncheon now? Many lines of forum text expended on JP over the last couple of years a lot of it pretty critical but this season he has been doing pretty well and was IMO outstanding against QPR. So have people forgiven him now? is he still a lazy talentess **** or have people changed their opinions of him? Thought this was a nice article about JP...sounds like he has become a real team player http://www.sportinglife.com/football/premier-league/news/article/312/8257111/puncheon-thats-the-real-saints
  2. we really didn't...... saints fan in overhyped expecatations shocker
  3. To late for that most of the posters on this thread are on Mossad's list now......
  4. Lambert is going to be one of those players whose name will live on in saints legend...if he left tommorrow he would last long in the memory. He was my kids first saints hero (along with Adam and Kelvin). It's not just that he is a good footballer but the guy is so damn nice with it........... he had to work his nuts off to get were he is and you can't help but like him for that.
  5. My first (and only so far) saints cup final win AP will always be alright in my book...I don't think a polite round of applause would be out of order.
  6. He played four ****ing games for us this season....3 of those games were cieth, arsenal and Man U and that's him failing. Despite yesterday we are in a relegation dog fight we need leaders in the team Kelvin gives us that I don't think Gazza does.
  7. Funny watching the MOTD repeat with my son this morning and we both said Gazza reminded us of Bart with his handling of the ball.....
  8. er No I still hate the PL and I would still like to be able to take the kids see saints play for under 20 quid:)
  9. ^^^ this and IMO we actually played better against the Manchester teams than the likes of Wigan and Fulham.
  10. He also scored a cracking goal against Man U in the cup a couple of seasons back....
  11. Well on current evidence none of our keepers look very PL. They've all let in a load of goals and made horrible mistakes. On this basis I'd still go with Kelvin who is club captain, a long term servant of the club and someone who Nigel has said is a great professional and good influence on the team. In our current situation we need leaders on the pitch Kelvin is one of those even if he is not a PL keeper.
  12. LOL taken from the BCC website match report..... The manager responded by sending on Jamie Mackie at the break and a sense of urgency was rewarded after 49 minutes when Hoilett flicked Taarabt's cross over Gazzaniga, who had looked the weak link in Saints' performance.
  13. Well Gazza looked poor on the highlights tonight still don't see him being any better than Kelvin from what I've seen of him. (can't comment on Boruc as haven't seen him play)
  14. Having just watched the MOTD highlights can I just say I always said Puncheon was class never doubt him for a minute...no sir ..not me ...... Great to get win a real boost..... hopefully it will give the players some confidence. Well done Nige well done boys:)
  15. Didn't Davis have to face both Manachester teams and Arsenal though even the BBC called Gazza the weak link in the team in todays match report The manager responded by sending on Jamie Mackie at the break and a sense of urgency was rewarded after 49 minutes when Hoilett flicked Taarabt's cross over Gazzaniga, who had looked the weak link in Saints' performance.
  16. Is it Gazza or just the quaility of the oppostion?
  17. This ^^^ drives me nuts
  18. We've got a lady in the village who is some sort of ebay trader....... You don't ever want to get stuck behind her at the village Post office:?
  19. Thats not strictly true the Russians (soviets) kept eastern europe occupied for 40 years becuase of what happened in WW2
  20. I wonder what would happen if the US boxed clever and just gave their support to the Palestinains they'd make a lot of new friends in the region over night and practically pull the rug out from under the main reason for islamic terrorism.......of course they'd probably have to deal with jewish terrorism instead. Funny how the EU and Nato where happy to step in stop civilians being bombed in Libya but won't lift a finger in this case.
  21. Interesting how do you feel about the Jewish attacks on the British in the 40s? Some might feel it's ironic that the Lehi were the orginates of the car bomb as a terroist weapon.....
  22. I'd get rid of the Roman avatar then seeing as they were resposible for for a million (according to Joesphus) dead jews in 69AD.........
  23. All perfectly good answers. I'm not arguing weather the players let go were good enough or if Nigel is good enough. What I'm getting at is the loyalty issue. Some posters seem to think we owe Nigel loyalty for what he has achieved, so far, and some posters are happy to given him that loyalty even if he fails. Yet they don't feel that the players that got us up deserve any loyalty. It's just interesting who the fans think we should or shouldn't be loyal to it seems to me that if loyalty for past deeds (rather than his current form) is our reason for keeping Nigel on we should have shown the same standards for the players........but that's just my agenda:)
  24. Having read through this thread I feel need to add one other thing I find confusing/slighty annoying is the whole "Nigel must be given time he desveres his chance" brigade. It's not that I disagree with the sentiment it's just when people say that and then in another thread you see them slagging off players "Kelvin is crap we should of got rid of him", "Dean Hammond is **** good thing we got rid, "Billy Sharp...****'im". Again I might agree that these players might not hack it in the PL I just don't get why people think Nigel should get loyalty for the last two seasons but the players who helped Nigel deliver back to back promotions didn't/don't deserve loyalty.
