We will play them twice this season anyway. No doubt both sides will put out a second string of fringe players and youth anyway and both clubs we see it as an interfernce to their league ambitions this will transfer to the fans for a flat atmosphere at SMS....just can't get that excited about it.

Meh would rather have a cup game against someone outside the PL. Still no doubt we will put out a **** poor second string backed up by a bench of 16 year olds anyway so we can concentrate on trying to finish 17th in the PL.

So Just to sum up then Di Matteo is a crap manager (certainaly not better than Nigel) who fluked his way to the the CL and FA cup becuase he had loads of expensive players and a really good squad.........oh well if he is lucky maybe a non league side will take a punt on him.

Yes I don't get this Kelvin isn't PL quaility becuase on current evidence neither are the other two...Kelvin is how ever a popular member of the squad and a leader in the team something I would of thought we need right now.

Well when I was a kid I would have given anything for the sort of gaming technology my kids have access to. Spending 20 minutes loading a game onto our BBC acorn computer by tape cassette wasn't fun (especially when there was an error loading 50% of the time). The games were hardly all that after the effort either anyone who has ever played Sphinx adventure will agree I'm sure (you are in a room, there is a dwarf, he throws an axe you are dead:lol:) On the plus side with such crap electronic gaming as a child I did spend a lot of time out side playing football, riding my bike o rmaking dens in the local woods so it wasn't all bad.

I think Kelvin is pretty attached to the club.....though being dropped after a whole four games and being declared not good enough must have been a bit of a kick in the teeth (but only managers are allowed time to turn things around it would seem). I imagined Kelvin staying on at the club in some capacity (goal keeping coach?) after his playing days finished like Dodd or Jahidi he does seem to be a popular character at the club.

Frankly if Nigel was fired we could do a hell of a lot worse as a replacement than Di Matteo.

Some ITK (can't remenber who) was on one of the Nigel threads last week saying NC had wanted to bring in Di Matteo in last summer but that Chelsea winning the Champions league had scuppered that idea.....So I think you'reto late with that one;) As for the OP pretty bloody stupid really weren't they top of the PL a couple of weeks ago? and surely Chelsea weren't expecting to win the CL again this season they got pretty lucky last season.
